Rody was dashing around the floor. Going from table to table. He barely had time to talk to Vincent because he was so busy. Then the next person walked in. Rody was huffing air in as he walked over to them. "Hello, how many will be dining?" Rody greeted as the person came into view. "Oh hey Manon. Table for one?" Rody asked as Manon smiled and nodded. Rody was a little surprised that she even showed up. Then again she said she would. Rody grabbed a menu. "Follow me." He said as he guided Manon over to the table. "Where's Vincent?" Manon quietly asked when she was close to him. "In the kitchen. He supervises the chefs. Sometimes I get the opportunity to talk to him. Not right now though." Rody said as he sat her at a table before dashing around to serve his other tables. At least Manon would be easier to deal with than the others since she probably wants to observe as much as she could. Eventually Manon put her menu down. "What would you like?" Rody asked as he approached her. "I'll take an appetizer." Manon said. Rody wrote it down and rushed over to the ticket slot. He then rushed into the back noticing the overwhelming amount of trash flooding out. He grabbed the bag out before taking it to the dumpster. As he came back inside he could hear Vincent mutter something to himself. "I wonder what Manon is doing here?" Without missing a beat Rody took the opportunity to engage in conversation with him. "Yeah she and I have become friends so she wanted to come see me at work." Rody explained. Vincent nodded before waving him off. Rody for once was relieved as he went back to serving customers. If he knew it wouldn't piss someone off he would've placed his roller skates on. A ding of the bell caught his attention as he grabbed Manon's appetizer. "Sorry it took so long." He said as he placed it in front of her. "Not a problem. Thank you." Manon said as she began to chow down. As Rody began to dash once again to another table to take their orders. But he was stopped by a pair of ladies in a booth made for two. "Excuse me, what is this?" One of the ladies shouted as she pointed at the bowl of soup in front of her. "Uhm the food you ordered?" Rody said, confused. He didn't know what was wrong with it. "This isn't the dish we had yesterday." Rody held back the urge to release a sigh. Here we go again with this shit. Rody thought to himself. "Ma'am we have a strict menu that changes daily so the food you ordered today is not the same thing you had yesterday." "Listen here you pig!" The woman shouted as she slammed a hand on the table. Rody stumbled back. What was it with customers being so shity? "You will go back there and bring us what we had yesterday." She spat. Bits of silva landing on his face and his eye. Rody grunted upon contact and began to try to rub it out of his eye. The lady held out her bowl, but Rody did not notice while trying to regain vision in his eyes. "WATCH OUT!" Manon's voice shouted. It was the last thing Rody heard before burning hot liquid landed on his chest, alongside parts of his arm. Rody let out a scream as he moved back further. Finally able to see again. His suit was dampened by his chest and his elbows were starting to turn red. On the floor remained the shattered bowl. Then the kitchen doors burst open. The restaurant was deadly silent as Vincent stepped into the dining room. Without another word he stormed up to them. "Oh finally someone in charge." The other woman at the table said. "This idiot..." Before she could say anything else Vincent grabbed the back of her head by her hair and shoved it down over the soup bowl. She put up some restraint against Vincent. Leaving her face only inches away from the steaming bowl. "I saw what happened. I don't need fake ass fuckery from you. He explained how the menu works. If you don't like it then fucking leave." Vincent shouted before one final shove and the woman's nose touched the broth. Rody could see tears appearing down her face as she struggled against Vincent. Who eventually let go. "Did I make myself clear?" He threatened as he looked at the other woman who just stood there frightened. Her lips quivered as she tried to stammer out any sort of sentence. "I-I-I..." "I-I-I WHAT?! SAY IT!" Vincent shouted bringin a shiver up Rody's spine as he backed up a bit more. He wanted to leave the scene yet he was fearful what would happen if he did. "We're leaving." The other woman said as they both slammed the cash necessary before exiting the restaurant quickly. Rody looked back at Vincent. His eyes still remained wide, his body still tense after the confrontation. He took in a deep breath before relaxing and turning his attention to Rody. Roody could begin to feel his pulse in his neck as Vincent grabbed his wrist. "Come on. We're bandaging you up." Vincent said as he began to drag Rody back to the kitchen. Rody looked back at Manon who shrugged before making her fingers resemble a phone and mouthed something Rody couldn't quite understand. Before disappearing behind the double doors of the kitchen as the restaurant returned to normalcy. Well as normal as you could get after watching a chef snap at a customer. Vincent led him over to the employees restroom. He grabbed a paper towel as he turned the sink on. Rody quickly realized what Vincent was about to do. "I've got it." Rody said as he undid his vest. Vincent looked back at him a little confused, but didn't seem to be too bothered. He placed the paper towel on the sink. "I'm going to call Richard and inform him you'll likely not be working for a few days." Vincent said as he began to make his way to the door. "I'm also taking you to the hospital." Vincent said as Rody froze. "What?" He muttered as Vincent turned back to him. "When Richard gets here to supervise I am going to drive you to the hospital." Vincent replied. Rody began to shake. "I don't need to go to a hospital for this Vincent. I can take care of it at home." Rody stuttered out. "Do you have burn cream at home?" Vincent asked as Rody shook his head. "Then your choices are a hospital, or my apartment. You have until Richard gets here to decide." Vincent said harshly before leaving Rody in the restroom. The door shutting behind him. Rody unbuttoned his shirt as he began to dab the cold paper towel on his chest. The cold provides relief against the burn. He sighed as he thought back to Vincent getting the paper towel wet. The thought of Vincent about to unbutton his shirt and touch his chest rang through his head. Sure Vincent may have not done so, nor may he had thought about doing it. That still didn't change the fact that it seemed like he would. He looked back in the mirror. Then his mind began to swim, what would Vincent look like without a shirt. Rody quickly shot that thought down as his face turned red. A knock came at the door. "Yes?" Rody asked. "Richard is on his way." Vincent said before Rody heard footsteps walk away. Rody didn't know why Vincent was even thinking about taking him to hospital. It's not like he was suffering a fatal injury. Nor was his burns that bad. Sure they hurt, and they were noticeably starting to turn red. Rody decided to try to not think about it. Then again Vincent had come to his aid twice. He was surprisingly not as disturbed by Vincent's actions to the customers. Come to think of it, they never had crossed his mind. Had Vincent been as violent with the previous customers that Rody had dealt with. Now he was starting to see why Dillian and Valire were on edge. Another knock came on the door. "Richard's here." Rody nodded as he quickly buttoned his shirt and threw the paper towel in the trash. His shirt rubbed against his skin. Making the burns feel worse. Rody left the restroom to see Richard by the employee entrance. He was clearly annoyed by the fact that he had to be called in on a day off. "Get better soon." Richard said as he walked out with Vincent following in toe. Rody began to walk down the alley but paused when he realized Vincent wasn't following him. He looked back to see Vincent grabbing his bike. Vincent caught up and eventually passed him. "So which is it?" Vincent asked as he sat down next to Rody. Rody looked back down at his feet.
He couldn't believe he was doing this. This was the third time he had been to Vincent's apartment. This was just ridiculous at this point. As Vincent unlocked the door. "Bathroom is the door to the right." Vincent said as he also began to walk towards the direction. "Can I have some privacy?" Rody asked. "Yes, I was heading to my room to get clothes for you. Put your clothes by the door." Vincent replied. Rody nodded and the two parted when they went down the hall. Vincent's bathroom was something Rody could only dream of. It was much bigger than Rody's restroom. To his left a fancy tub was put in the corner beside the door. It felt a bit bigger than a single person needed. To his right was a large counter with two sinks, and two mirrors. Shoved in the far left corner was a toilet. Rody stripped out of his clothes. Folding them and placing them by the door. Before removing his boxers and placing them on the counter. He wasn't tursting that Vincent having a pair of unworn boxers. He turned his attention to the shower. It took him a moment to figure out how to use the knobs before eventually turning it onto cold. He had one too many burn accidents one too many times. And had stepped into the shower with warm water with burns one too many times. He wasn't going to go through that crap again. He stepped into the shower. The cold water chilling him to the bones. As much as he hated the cold water, but he knew he had to deal with it. He heard a knock and quickly reached for the shower curtain and pulled it over. He was not about to let Vincent see him nude. "Come in." Rody shouted as the door opened before swiping the clothes and placing new ones on the counter. "Let me know when you are done." Vincent said as before leaving Rody in the bathroom. Rody looked to his right to see three bottles. He grabbed one seeing it was labeled shampoo. He poured some into his hand before scrubbing it into his hair. Letting the bubbles sink into his hair. It felt refreshing from the hustle and bustle of life.
After about maybe twenty or so minutes Rody was finally done. He dried off and changed into his boxers, and a pair of sweatpants Vincent provided. "Vince, I'm done." Rody yelled as Vincent walked in. He changed out his chef shirt, and into a black long sleeve shirt. "Sit." He said as he pointed at the counter. Rody got up and sat on it. Vincent opened a cabinet underneath the sink before pulling out a first aid kit. He dug around before pulling out a bottle, a roll of bandages, and some tape. He flipped the bottle on its cap before smacking it before popping the cap open. "I can..." Vincent squirted it on his hands. "Nevermind." Rody muttered as he looked away. Vincent rubbed his hands together before slowly touching his chest. Rody was sure he was turning as red as the burns on his chest. He felt slightly uncomfortable by this. It all felt a little too intimate. He was still trying to grapple with the reality that he liked Vincent. This felt a little rushed for his liking. Vincent's hand graced by a nippled. Thankfully he didn't make a noise but his shoulders tensed up. "Sorry." Vincent muttered carefully trying not to get close to his nipples. Now Rody wished he got severe burns on his arms. Once Vincent was done there he wrapped a bandage around his chest before taping it there, and moved on to his arms. They hadn't taken as many burns as his chest had. Rody relaxed as Vincent rubbed the burn cream into his arms and bandaged them too. "You're going to be staying with me. While those heal." Vincent said. Rody wasn't sure if he felt happy, or upset about it. He just nodded. "Can I use your phone?" Rody asked. Vincent nodded as he placed the supplies back in the kit. "I'll make us food while you do that." Vincent said Rody smiled before making his way to the living room. He sat on the couch as he picked up the phone and began to dial Manon's number. His heart pounded as his phone rang. "Hello?"
