Rody fumbled with the keys before finally unlocking the door. Inside barely anything had changed since Vincent had last been there. With the exception of a half empty laundry basket, and a few pairs of clothes strewn around it. "You should probably get a hamper for that." Vincent said as he walked inside. "Hey I invited you over to continue our date. Not for you to judge me for being broke." Rody replied as he walked inside. Vincent turned to meet him. "So you admitted you didn't have a lot of money for the date." Vincent said as his eyes narrowed. Rody's shoulders slumped. He could tell he had been a little too harsh with that. "I'm not trying to be an asshole about it..." "Even though you are?" Rody replied. Vincent couldn't deny that. He was being a slight asshole about it. "But it's being an asshole , you need to hear. I can pay for things as well. If I have to pay for out dates it's fine. I do not mind." Vincent reached and grabbed Rody's hand. "But I want to make sure you aren't going to get kicked out of your apartment anytime soon." Rody sighed as he leaned into Vincent's touch as he reached up to cup his cheek. Vincent could tell he heard those words before. Though they always seemed to go in one ear out of the other. "I know, but I feel like I have to." Rody replied as he gently grabbed Vincent's wrist. Vincent stared back at him. "Why?" He asked. Vincent wanted to know, but Rody kept his mouth shut, and looked away. Vincent sighed as he rubbed his thumb against his cheek. Rody opened his mouth. Only to shut it again. It was clear he could not say anything. "You don't have to if you don't feel comfortable. We can work on it." Vincent said as Rody gave a small smile. "Okay." Rody whispered as they leaned in closer. Rody pressed his lips against his. Vincent moved his free hand to move it further back to his head. Rody's free hand made it to his waist. The two stood there for seconds before parting gently. Vincent looked up into his blue gray eyes. Seemingly drowning in them as Rody raised their hands that they were holding before beginning to rock them back and forth. Vincent could see a smile appearing on Rody's face. "Really?" Vincent asked sarcastically as Rody's smile only grew. As he began to hum a tune. Vincent felt a warmth spread to his cheeks as Rody moved them to the side. Continuing to rock them back and forth. Vincent moved his hand down to Rody's shoulder as he began to hum along. Staring blissfully into Rody's eyes. He almost felt like he was drowning in them. Any concerns melted away as Rody and him continued to dance. Humming the familiar tune as Vincent leaned closer into Rody before one of his arms were lifted. Vincent twirled with another blush crossing his face as Rody's hand returned to his waist. Vincent knew the song was coming to an end, and on the final note Rody dipped Vincent. His lips once again found their way back to his. Pulling him up very well without parting. They once again stayed like that until Vincennt could tell Rody was running out of air. No attempt to deepen it. Vincent didn't mind. He just smiled at Rody. "Very smooth mister" Vincent replied as he and Rody sat down. "Shall I serenade you with my guitar next?" Rody teased Vincent, chuckling and leaning against him. The two sat there. Just enjoying their company once again. Vincent began to feel tired, but he didn't want to fall asleep. Though Rody was quite comfortable. Though he could feel his eyes begin to close. Then a massive yawn went through the room. Vincent looked back up at Rody. "Sleepy?" Vincent asked as Rody nodded. He wrapped an arm around Vincent's waist and pulled him back. Vincent immediately grabbed Rody's shoulder as he was squished in between him and the couch cushion. He moved so he was now laying on top of Rody. He began to push himself up. "I think I should go." Vincent said. Before he could Rody grabbed his waist. "Please." Rody said. Bringing Vincent's attention to him. His eyes were half dropped and his smile was gentle. Why did he have to look cute like that? "Stay the night." Rody begged as Vincent sighed. He flopped back down on top of him. Causing a grunt to escape from Rody. "I'll stay then." Vincent replied as he closed his eyes. Feeling Rody's chest rise and fall beneath him as he was lulled into slumber.
A sharp pain woke him from his slumber. Vincent's eyes shot open. Taking a minute to adjust to the dim moonlight. He didn't recognize his setting at first. Before eventually remembering he was at Rody's apartment. He could feel something rising and falling beneath him at a rapid rate. He looked up at Rody. His head was moving from side to side and sweat began to roll down his face. His nails dug into his sides. Vincent wouldn't be surprised if he woke up with scratches. "Rody." Vincent whispered as he gently shook him. Rody's eyes shot open. Quickly looking over at Vincent. He reached a hand to cup his cheek. "Was it a nightmare?" Vincent asked, as Rody nodded. "Do you want..." "NO!" Rody shouted. Vincent retracted his hand. He was taken aback. He could tell Rody wasn't going to let loose about his feelings. If Vincent would be honest neither would he very easily. He softened his look as Rody looked guilty. "It's alright if you don't want to." Vincent replied as the grip on his waist was loosened. He once again cupped Rody's cheek, and brought himself up to give him a quick kiss on his cheek. Rody gave a small smile. "Should we go back to sleep?" Rody replied. Vincent layed back on Rody's chest. He could hear movement before feeling a blanket drape over him and Rody. He let out a small smile before he felt Rody's lips press against his forehead. "Goodnight Vincent." Rody whispered. "Goodnight Rody." Vincent said as he was lulled back into slumber.
