Vincent walked in through the double doors. It was more crowded than he had expected. Especially considering Rody's band wasn't a big time band. It seemed he was rather late. Though he managed to spot Manon, and Casper. Manon turned back to see him and gave him a big smile and a wave. "Vincent! I didn't know you were going to be here!" Manon exclaimed as she turned towards him. "Vincent!" Casper exclaimed as he turned around to see Vincent. Vincent walked up to them. "Rody invited me. I'm surprised you are here." Vincent said as he looked at Manon with a raised brow. He honestly hadn't expected Manon to show up. Even if she and Rody were on speaking terms it still felt a little awkward to go to your ex's concert. Especially with your new boyfriend. Then again who was Vincent to judge. "I asked Manon to go because I was curious. Especially since I overheard Richard bragging about going to see his girlfriend." Casper explained as Vincent rolled his eyes. "Of course he was. Why aren't y'all with them?" Vincent asked. "Didn't want to. I was warned by Amiel that Richard might explode the entire time." Manon said as Vincent nodded. "Yeah, that's fair." Vincent said before the lights of the audience went dim. "Ladies and gentlemen. We present to you the performance for tonight Dolly and the gang!" Naturally the crowd went wild as the band began to walk out. Immediately Vincent's eyes landed on Rody. His hair was messy as ever. Dressed in black jeans fighting tightly around his legs. A black button up shirt with the buttons being unbuttoned ending halfway down his chest. Giving a good look at his pectoral muscles. Most of the other members were not as showy in their outfits. He could feel a harsh blush cover his face. As Rody walked up to his spot and held his guitar up. "Hello Everybody!" Dolly called his attention away though his eyes would drift over to Rody. He looked stunning under the lighting. Vincent wanted nothing more than to get a closer look. He wanted to admire him forever. It made him want to see the rest. Sure he had seen Rody shitless, but he did wonder what the rest of his body looked like. He ended up blacking out most of Dolly's introduction. The only thing bringing him out of his trance was the beginning of the song. Vincent had already heard the songs playing. Yet his eyes were continuously drawn to Rody. Though every now and again he could see Manon showing small discomfort at some of the songs. The songs were sadden, sounding as if it were from unrequited love. Vincent knew they were written about Manon. It made him wonder how he didn't pick up on it before. But it also made him feel a tad bit jealous. He knew Rody had likely written the lyrics before they had started dating, but that still didn't stop the jealousy from boiling under the surface. Rody's eyes peered over the crowd every now and again, and it made Vincent wonder if Rody hadn't spotted him yet. That was fair considering it was quite a crowd. Then the last song ended. The audience alluded, and Vincent was ready for it to be over. He was ready to go home and hold him in his arms. Then Dolly gave an unexpected announcement. "Now for our next song, I'm not going to be singing it." Vincent raised a brow. The band had finished the songs they played during their practice. He remembered Dolly brought up another song Rody had written. "This bandmate had only finished the song as of recently and wanted to play it for himself. So everybody give it up for our very own guitarist Rody Lamoree!" Vincent was surprised to say the least as he walked up to the microphone. "Hello?" Rody asked nervously. The crowd cheered, clearly excited that a different member was singing. Someone came out and placed a stool Beside him as Rody sat down. "Y'all can hear me still?" Vincent chuckled while several people were confirming that they could hear him. Rody took a deep breath in. Vincent could feel the nervousness radiating off of him. The tension melding into the room. Vincent leaned forward. His face was waiting in anticipation. Rody opened his eyes and looked up, and then smiled. Vincent could tell, from the way he looked he saw him. Then the notes began to play. A gentle tune played from the guitar. "When I see you, I hear a song, it plays in my heart, leaving me to only think of you" Vincent furrowed a brow. The lyrics were very different from the rest that Rody had seemingly written. Looking over at Manon. Though she seemed to be looking at him. Not only that but Rody's eyes looked glued to him. Putting that aside his voice was amazing. It made Vincent wonder why he didn't sing more often. "Midnight eyes take me by surprise, As you stare into mine, Your eyes could dazzle like stars in the sky, You give me a smile you never seem to show, Whenever I see it, I melt like snow." Vincent almost froze completely. That description was not for Manon. Manon smiled often, her eyes were lighter in color. His wasn't. He was shaking almost. "Drunk out of our minds, You lay your hand on mine, And I melt inside, Your lips meet mine, And all I want is more, You're colder than anything, Yet you warm me more than everything." There was no denial. It was for him. The song was written for him. Vincent felt a blush creep on his face as he placed a hand over his mouth. Left in amazement as a smile crept onto his face. Rody's eyes remained on Vincent. Just adding to him being in shambles. "All I wished was to bury my head in the sand, Yet you grabbed my hand, Pulled me out, And told me to stand, When I Was left to drown, and you were near, Helping me to calm every and all of my fears." Vincent felt like he may melt. Rody had spent all this time. Writing away in his notepad, not just the tune, but the lyrics. The lyrics for him. Rody began to heavily strum on the guitar. The tune speeding up and yet somehow remained gentle. "I love you, I Love you, I love you." Rody sounded like he was about to cry. His voice got louder with every I love you. With the last you being dragged. A pause in the song as Rody looked back up at him. Staring deeply into his eyes as Vincent lowered his hand from his face. As the last few gentle notes were strummed. "You're the song that changed my heart." The place went quiet. Vincent was the first to start clapping. Followed by several other audience members. Rody had a full on smile on his face as everyone took a bow. Revealing in the audience's appreciation. Several of his other bandmates were also in shock. Dolly walked up and gave him a big smile and shook his shoulder. "Thank you, and goodnight." Dolly said as they walked off. Vincent was left standing there. As a single tear graced his cheek. "Vincent, are you okay?" Manon asked quickly, causing him to wipe the tear off of his cheek. It had been so long since he had last cried he forgot what it was like to shed tears. "Yeah, I'm fine." Vincent said as he began to turn to leave with everyone else. "I'd say that was really good." Casper said, but Vincent ignored his conversation with Manon. He couldn't wait a second longer, yet he knew he'd have to wait. Wait a minute too long before he could really tell Rody how he felt.

Here are the full lyrics without the text:
When I see you, I hear a song,
It plays in my heart, leaving me to only think of you
Midnight eyes take me by surprise
As you stare into mine
Your eyes could dazzle like stars in the sky
You give me a smile you never seem to show
Whenever I see it I melt like snow.
Drunk out of our minds
You lay your hand on mine
And I melt inside
Your lips meet mine
And all I want is more
You're colder than anything
Yet you warm me more than everything
All I wished was to bury my head in the sand
Yet you grabbed my hand
Pulled me out, And told me to stand
When I Was left to drown, and you were near
Helping me to calm every and all of my fears
I love you, I Love you, I love you
You're the song that changed my heart
