Rody took a bite out of the sandwich. He'd be lying if he said this wasn't the best blt he had ever had. The bacon was crispy, and not greasy, tomatoes were not runny, nor did the slip out of his sandwich, and the lettuce was just the right balance between soft, and crispy. Vincent had managed to get a lunch break to come home and make lunch. Richard was still having him work even with him taking care of Rody. That still left Rody with several hours to himself. He figured he'd just go ahead and through an oversized t-shirt Vincent had lying around. It actually didn't feel that bad. Though he assumed the bandages were of some assistance. Vincent had changed them out before he left. Leaving Rody with more hours to do nothing but contemplate what to do. He knew Vincent would beat his ass if he tried making anything in his kitchen. Especially if he burned the thing down, so that was a no go. The t.v was an option. Leaving Rody to sit on the couch and watch t.v. A few game shows were on. Alongside the news, and some other shows, and movies as well. Rody chose a show that was mildly interesting and began to watch it. A few advertisements popped up in between. Mostly of stuff he could only dream to afford. Then it continued playing. A lovely song showed up as a husband character was singing to his wife about how excited he was about having a kid. Rody sighed as he leaned his head against his hand. He couldn't count the number of times he had dreamed about starting a family with his ex's. Now that he was starting to think about it. If he and Vincent actually got together how would they even start a family? Rody flopped himself on his side. Why was he even thinking that far ahead? He hadn't even gotten in a relationship with the dang guy. Let alone could that be a possibility. He sighed as he grabbed the remote and switched the channels. He didn't want to think about it anymore.
About several hours had passed before he heard keys in the lock before the door opened. He turned off the t.v to see Vincent stagger in. He looked pissed, but also exhausted. "You good?" Rody asked as his eyes glanced down at the to go box he had in his hand. "I'm fine." Vincnet replied as he placed his keys on a table before. Walking straight to the kitchen. Rody got up and followed him. He placed the to go box onto the counter before walking into the hall. Rody opened the box to see blueberry crepes. Rody raised a brow but shrugged it off as Vincent walked back in with the kit. "Those are for you." Vincent said as he walked grabbed a pair of scissors. Rody removed his shirt before Vincent started cutting away at his bandages. "You didn't have to do that." Rody said as he grabbed the burn cream. Hitting the bottle once before opening the cap and letting some squeeze onto his hands, and rubbing it on his burns. Vincent placed a plate down before grabbing the crepes out of the box and placing it on the plate. With a fork next to it. He washed his hands before returning and grabbed the bandages. Rody was going to ask why Vincnet had taken the plate out of the box. Then again he decided to keep his mouth shut. Maybe it was Vincent's personal preference. Vincent wrapped and taped the bandages before placing them in the kit. Rody walked back to the table. Vincent had placed the plate by the seat he usually sat in. Vincent had left the room to place the kit back in its place. Before returning and walking to a cabinet that was placed behind the table. It was filled with wine glasses, and wine bottles. "Do you want anything to drink?" Vincent asked as he grabbed a bottle and a glass. "Why are you getting wine?" Rody asked as Vincent placed them on the table. "Because Rody I'm about to bash my head into a wall." Vincent said as he grabbed the bottle and opened it. "Besides, I don't have work tomorrow." Vincent said as he poured some in the glass. "I'll take some wine." Rody said as Vincent grabbed another glass. "Aren't you going to eat as well?" Rody asked as Vincent poured his glass. "Fine." He said as he walked over to a lemon tree in the corner. He looked over at each and every one before picking one and bringing it over to the sink and washing it. Rody grabbed his fork and took a bite of his food. The blueberries were fresh and the crepes had just enough sugar and were fluffy. Rody swallowed quickly. His mouth salivating for more. He heard a knife cutting and turned to see Vincent cutting something before placing a lemon slice in his mouth. Rody could feel his eyes nearly pop out of his skull. Then he remembered Vincent could not taste. He saw Vincent grab a plate before walking back over to the table. Three other lemons were placed on it. Vincent quickly chewed and swallowed, and placed the peel on the plate. "Happy?" Vincent replied. Rody shrugged. "Better than nothing." Rody said as Vincent handed him a glass. Rody took a sip of the red liquid. It tasted quite good. Rody looked over at his glass and shrugged. "Where did you get the wine?" Rody asked. "A place you couldn't afford." Vincent replied as he took a big gulp. "Aren't you light weight?" Rody asked as he took another forkful of the crepes. "Yes, Rody and like I said. I don't have work tomorrow." Vincent replied as he shoved another lemon in his mouth. Rody shrugged.
Two full bottles later the two had moved to Vincent's bedroom. Vincent had down two glasses, nearly done with his third. Rody had eight. The two sat in front of the window. A third bottle by the window alongside their glasses. The two were laughing their asses off at something neither of them knew what they were talking about. "As I was saying..." Rody slurred. He wasn't drunk, but he was definitely tipsy. "What were you saying?" Vincent slurred back as Rody grabbed the bottle and took a chug. "Hey, save some from me." Vincent said as he grabbed the bottle away from him. "You've had plenty." Rody said as he leaned over. "You've had more." Vincent said as he placed the bottle back by the window. "Yeah I have." Rody said before chuckling. Vincnet started chuckling as well. "I was so unhappy to head home today. I thought you'd be annoying to deal with when I got home after being annoyed by everyone else at work today. Thank god you're not a nuisance." Vincent said as he leaned his head on his shoulder. "Am I a nuisance?" Rody asked as he looked at Vincent. His tone was more serious than they had been in his drunken state. Vincent looked at him. "You're not." Vincent said. Without warning Rody felt Vincent's lip press against his cheek. "You're an adorable idiot." Rody looked at him and his face turned red. Vincent giggled. "You look like a tomato." Rody started laughing as well. "How about I make you look like a tomato." Rody replied. Vincent looked over at him. "How are you going to do that?" Vincent asked as he leaned on his shoulder. Rody immediately pressed his lips against Vincent. One of his arms snaked its way around Vincent's. Another he used to stabilize himself. As he pulled back he felt Vincent's arms grab his shirt and pull him back in. His hands moved to tangle in his hair. Rody closed his eyes as he leaned into it. Vincent's lips pressed hungrily against his. Vincent pushed him to the ground. His hands moved to Rody's shoulders. While Rody used his hands to grab Vincent's waist. The two parted in a heaving mess. Vincent's hair had been tussled slightly. "His face was cherry red and he was panting. "You look like a mess." Rody said as he used his elbows to prop him up. "You do too." Vincent said as he leaned closer back to him. "Do you want to look even more like a mess?" Vincent asked as he ran a hand down his chest. Rody followed it as he felt a chill go down his spine. The thought of it was appealing in his mind. He was sure if he had more to drink he would've said yes. But he couldn't. Neither of them were in their right mind. Yet he wanted to keep Vincent in his arms. Holding onto him and having him pressed against him. "I don't want to go far." Rody said as Vincent leaned close to him. "So you just want to make out?" Vincent asked. Rody nodded rapidly. "Get on the bed." Vincent said as he got off of Rody. Rody moved onto the bed and was almost immediately tackled by Vincent. His lips hungrily pressing against Rody's. His body pushed into the sheets as Vincent's leg straddled his side. Vincent harshly pressed a hand into Rody's chest causing a gasp to escape his lips. Vincent's tongue slipped into his mouth. Rody could feel him exploring everywhere inside his mouth. It felt almost suffocating before Vincent parted letting the two take a breather. Rody grabbed Vincent's shirt and pulled him back in. He tried to press his tongue into Vincent's mouth. It was quickly met with Vincent's tongue. His hands slipped onto Vincent's shoulder. Before one grabbed his hair. Vincent's hands were securely placed on Rody's hips. Though sometimes he would move his hands up. The two layed like that tangled in each other. Before eventually parting. Huffing air with droopy eyes and a sting of silva connecting their lips. "I love you." Rody said as he moved closer to Vincent and wrapped his arms around him. Vincent looked him in his eyes and placed a gentle kiss on his lips. "I love you too." Vincent replied as the two fell asleep.
