Rody paced the room nervously. His mind flashing through places he could take Vincent. He had already dug through his laundry to see if he had left any euros there. He managed to uncover twenty euros and had at least a hundred in his wallet. Though would it be enough to take him somewhere nice? He had his doubts. He could try to make his way to his apartment to see if he had any other money lying around. He knew the tin in his apartment had some euros in it. The ride would be longer though, and he wasn't sure if Vincent would be home by the time he got back. Sure he could just wait until tomorrow. Afterall he didn't really need the bandages anymore, and his skin would only remain discolored for a little while longer. Then again he wanted to take Vincent on a date tomorrow. He looked back out the window and groaned. He looked over at the front door. His bike against the wall he got up and grabbed it before stopping. He didn't have a spare key from Vincent. Meaning he would have no way of locking the door behind him, and even if he did he would have no way of unlocking the door. He sighed as he placed his bike back against the wall. He would just have to work with what he had. Now he had to figure out a place to take Vincent.
A huff of smoke left Vincent's lips as he looked over the chefs. Waiting every passing minute for his shift to be done. He wished Rody was here that day, or he had the day off. Now that Rody and him were together properly Vincent did want to spend more time around him. Maybe that was a sign a while back that he really did have feelings for him. He never minded when Rody came up to him. He never minded Rody. A spark of flames caught his attention. A chef confidently tossed well minced fruits in the pan. Vincent narrowed his eyes hoping they wouldn't be burnt. He could see a small bit of sweat rolling down the chef's brow. Clearly feeling Vincent's eyes on him. "What are you glaring at?" Vincent jumped back as he was met with Lauren. "God damn it Lauren, get back to work!" Vincnet shouted as he pointed towards the dining area. "God damn you'll let Rody come up and talk to you, but not me?" Lauren said seemingly offended, but more of a fake offense. "Shut up, and get back to work." Vincent replied as Lauren rolled his eyes, and muttered something Vincent. "What." Vincent said. Lauren's posture straightened. "Nothing." Lauren stuttered before quickly dashing out and grabbing the plates laid out on the counter. Vincent stared at her with glaring eyes. He would have to keep a bigger eye on Lauren if she was going to mutter stuff like that.
Rody drummed the pen against the table. He figured writing a few lyrics wouldn't be too bad. Though his mind would jump back to some ideas for places to take Vincent out. He decided with his cash they probably shouldn't go somewhere fancy. Not to mention this would be their first date. So going somewhere laid back was thrown off the table. Rody had quickly eliminated several places he knew Vincent wouldn't like such as fast food, alongside the cafe they visited one time. Mostly out of fear of the flirty cashier. Dinner felt more natural. It also felt like something Vincent would appreciate more. Rody thought back trying to think of places he may have brought Manon. Would Vincent like the places she liked? Or would he like the ones she didn't? By now hours had passed and the sun was starting to set. Vincent would be returning soon. Rody could help but feel excited. Still trying to get his mind back to the song lyrics. He had at least written a verse, so that was a good thing. Then the door clicked. Rody shot up. He didn't know if he should jump up and rush towards Vincent, or just keep it casual and remain where he was. The door opened and Vincent walked in. "Vincent!" Rody shouted as he stood up, arms outstretched. "Welcome home!" That felt way too enthusiastic for him. Vincent seemed confused. Blinking twice before relaxing again. "Thanks for the welcome." Vincent replied back quietly. Yep it was definitely an overkill. Rody began to sit back down on the floor. Until Vincent grabbed his arms. It was a little harsh, but Rody didn't mind. They sat down with Vincent leaning against his shoulder. Rody let out a small smile as he leaned his head on Vincent's. "Rough day?" Rody asked. Vincent sighed. "Any day is a rough day when you're not there." Rody looked down at him. He felt like he was on fire. He was being flirted on. "W-w-Well I'll be back tomorrow." Rody starmed out. Vincent chuckled as his fingers gently graced over Rody's hand. "I'll drop you off at your apartment after work tomorrow." Vincent said Rody hummed. The two sat like that for several minutes. Before Rody' stomach growled. Vincent sighed as he taped Rody's hand twice. Rody got up alongside Vincent. "I'll start on dinner." Vincent said as he began to walk towards the kitchen. Rody followed behind him quickly remembering his plans. "Vince, are you free tomorrow night?" Rody asked as he leaned over the counter. Vincent furrowed a brow, but still continued to move around the kitchen. "Yes. Why?" Rody couldn't help but grin. "You'll see." Rody teased as Vincent sighed. "Is it a date?" Vincent asked. Rody's jaw nearly hit the floor. There was no way Vincent could've guessed that fast. "I'm taking your silence as a yes." Vincent said as Rody nearly slumped to the floor. "It was supposed to be a surprise." Rody whined as Vincent chuckled. "I still don't know where we are going." Vincent replied as he started grabbing food from the fridge. Rody perked up upon hearing that. A grin quickly appeared on his face. His excitement once again filled him. He would make sure this would be the best date Vincent had been on.
