"Call me." Manon whispered as Rody was dragged into the back. The women's table was attended by another waiter. Leaving a waitress to zoom around and get every other customer. Several people left before Richard arrived. Manon took quick notice of his presence when she heard the kitchen doors open and Richard walked through. Upon seeing her he was surprised to see her. Manon couldn't blame him. She had been avoiding Rody for nearly a month. To the point that Richard had to give her and a group of friends the work schedule to make sure Rody wouldn't be there. He approached Manon's table seemingly confused. "Hello Manon." Richard said. "Hello Richard, how are you doing?" Manon asked. "I'm doing as well as I can be. What are you doing here?" Richard asked. He appeared to have some concern, but overall just seemed confused. "Long story short Rody and I are friends again." Manon explained as Richard nodded. His eyes narrowed ever so slightly. Clearly he was suspicious, but thankfully kept his mouth shut. "Would you like anything else?" Richard asked. "I'll have a main." Manon replied as Richard wrote it down. Manon was sure he wanted to ask more questions, but the rush of having a waiter absent was probably enough of a reason not to.

After a desert Manon left, and returned to her apartment. It was a small cozy one. To her left was the living room. A brown couch centered against the wall. With a rectangular coffee table in front of it, and a t.v on a large cabinet pushed against the far wall. To her right was the dining room. A small square table with four chairs around it was centered in the space. Directly next to it was the kitchen. Manon shut the door behind her. Then the phone began to ring. Manon walked to it. Placing her purse on the counter next to it. "Hello." She said as she brought the phone to her ear. "Manon?" Rody's voice said from the other end. "Rody! Are you okay?" Manon exclaimed as she tightened her grip on the phone. "Yeah I'm alright. I'm at Vincent's place right now." Manon paused for a second. He was at Vincent's home. Not his home, Vincent's. "Have you ever been there before?" Manon asked. She needed more information on the situation if she was going to be any assistance. "Two times beforehand." Rody stammered. Manon wanted to press further. But Rody sounded nervous when he said it. Maybe that or he was just cold. "So how was bandaging it?" Manon asked. "Not difficult, Vincent did it for me." Manon paused for a moment. Rody let Vincent bandage him. No matter how hard she tried to imagine it she could never see Vincent being willing to bandage someone. She must've been silent for a while. "Manon, are you still there?" Rody asked. "You let him bandage you?!" Manon exclaimed. "Well he offered to and I figured it would be hard for me ro do it myself." Rody replied. Manon had her mouth gaping open. Vincent offered to bandage Rody. Sure he could be friendly-ish, but Manon could not see Vincent willingly going out of his way to bandage a colleague. "Rody, I don't know what to tell you except I think he likes you back. As in more than just a friend." The line went silent. "You're joking?" Rody said quietly. His words were seemingly hollow of any emotion. Manon shrugged, Vincent and Rody didn't do much talking during that day. Yet Manon swore she saw Vincent looking at Rody constantly. She was trying to remember the last time he looked at a woman any longer than just a conversation. "I'm not. I genuinely think he likes you back." She heard nothing from the other end for a few seconds. Before hearing a quiet groan. "You got this, just trust your gut and tell him how you feel." Manon said gently. "When?" Rody asked. "Whenever you feel the time is right. A knock came to her door. Calling her attention. "I got to go. Bye Rody." Manon said. "Bye." Rody said before the line went dead. "Come in." Manon said as she placed the phone back onto the hook. She turned back to see a young man closing the door behind him. "Casper!" Manon said as she rushed over to him. Casper had his arms open. Immediately being taken into a hug. He wrapped his arms around her waist before giving her a kiss on the cheek. "Who were you on the phone with?" Casper asked. Still not letting go of her. He was a pale man who was barely taller than him. His hair was fluffy and brown. His eyes were also brown, and very similar to the shade in her eyes. "Rody." Manon replied as she and Casper let go. He was just like Richard, confused, and concerned. "Isn't he the ex that would..." "Yes." Manon replied as the two walked over to her couch and took a seat. "And you're sure he doesn't..." "Casper, if I was worried about it I wouldn't be reconnecting with him." Manon assured him. Casper nodded. "I trust you." Casper said as Manon smiled and leaned on his shoulder. "So how was your day?" Manon asked with a smile. Casper sighed as he leaned his head back. "Could be better. We were surprisingly packed today. The only thing that could make this better..." Manon heard latches clicking. "Oh no." She said as she began to push away. Casper moved an arm around her waist. "A song." He said as he pulled out his flute. "You need two hands to play that." Manon replied as Casper let go before quickly blowing a few notes. Eventually starting to form a song. "Oh my god." Manon said as she began to giggle at Caspers ridiculousness. She reached over to the coffee table where her flute case lay. She opened it, and pulled out her flute. Waiting for a minute before getting to a break and began playing back. Casper paused, letting her play a few notes before eventually joining. The duet of the flutes creating a lovely harmony in the apartment. A smile was plastered on their faces. Before eventually the two could help but let out a laugh. Ruining the melodies, but filling it with something just as sweet. Eventually the laughter died down as Casper began to take apart his flute. "Do not empty the spit valve on my floor or you'll be cleaning my floor." Manon said, half threateningly, and half jokingly. Casper smiled and shook their head as he stood up. He quickly put a hand to his lower chest. His teeth gritted as he displayed pain. Manon's smile faltered as her shoulders slumped. Casper gave a smile back. "I'm fine, don't worry about it." Casper said as he walked into the kitchen and dumped the spit into the trash can. "Are you sure?" Manon asked as Casper nodded, and sat down once again. "How long have you had it on?" Manon asked. Casper turned away. "A week." He said as Manon sighed and laid on his shoulder. "You're taking it off when you get home." Manon said as Casper leaned his head back and groaned. Manon playfully nudged his side. "Alright jeez." Caspers said as he moved back at the jab before slipping back into his original spot with Manon sat away, arms crossed. Casper sighed as he leaned his head on her shoulder. "I love you." He said before kissing her cheek. "Love you too." Manon replied as she stared back at him.
