The night provided a romantic mode to the two exes. Making it feel a bit awkward. Especially considering one was seeing another person. They made a small walk before sitting at a bench to admire the evening. It wasn't the same bench that he and Vincent had sat on two days prior. This bench was more in view of the lake, and a large clearing. Leaving the stars to shine down on them. The two sat with a noticeable distance between them. Rody didn't mind. The space was big enough that Vincent could sit in between them if he were there. There would barely be a gap between them .Rody could feel a flush return to his face at the thought of being so close to him. "Rody, are you alright?" Manon asked, bringing him back into reality. "Yeah I'm fine." Rody replied as he looked up at the stars. Does Vincent like to watch them as well? "So how long have you and the other guy been together?" Rody asked, trying to bring his mind off of Vincent. "About two weeks now. He's really sweet." Manon replied. Hues of pinks flooded her face as she held her hands together. Rody nodded, he was happy Manon was happy with another. Though a small bit of him felt sad at the fact that it wasn't him making Manon smile like that. They stayed in silence for a few more minutes before Manon broke it. "Rody, I know I've been ignoring you for a while, but can we at least be friends again?" Manon asked, Rody looked at her. He thought about it. He thought about how almost the past week Manon wasn't the reason he was getting out of bed. Manon wasn't the reason he was excited to go to work. That being said he did miss her company. He missed the friendship they did have beforehand. Even if Manon would never take him back, they could still be friends. He was sure he could live with that. "I think I'd like that." Rody said as Manon smiled. She held her hand out for a shake. Rody took it and shook it. Her hands were as soft as he remembered. Though he didn't hold them much longer than a shake. "Besides I'm fairly certain you're into somebody else." Rody shot up. Eyes wide as he tried to process what he had just been told. How the hell did she guess that? Manon let out a giggle. "You've done some things that you haven't really done on our previous dates so I just assumed someone else is in the picture." Manon replied as Rody remained frozen. "Are you okay?" Manon asked as Rody shut his mouth. "Yeah I'm fine. I didn't know you would actually guess that." Rody replied. Goosebumps trailed up his arms. He couldn't tell Manon anything more. She and Vincent were in the same orchestra. He couldn't have that getting to Vincent. Especially since they were both men. Vincent would hate him. "So who is she?" Manon asked teasingly. Rody remained fearful. "You wouldn't know." Rody replied coldly. Manon seemed confused. "What's with that tone?" Manon asked. Rody sighed as he leaned his head against his hand. "I doubt I have a chance." Rody muttered. As he thought back to Vincent. "Why would you think that?" Manon asked. Rody sighed and shook his head. "No reason it's fine." Rody said. He was now dreading this date going on any further. "Is it because they're in love with another?" Manon asked. "No." Rody replied. "Is it because you're coworkers?" Rody didn't know why that set him off so much. "No it's because he's..." Rody slapped a hand over his mouth as soon as the pronoun left his lips. His eyes quickly shot back at Manon. She appeared to be taken aback. "Did I say he? I didn't mean he..." "Rody." "I mean imagine it..." "Rody!" Rody laughed awkwardly as Manon looked back at him. "Rody, is your crush a man? Be honest." Manon said quietly Rody looked down at his shoes. "Yes, it's a man." Rody said as he kept his eyes downcasted. Manon didn't speak. "And before you start saying anything, no I am not gay. I really did love you, and I don't know what's wrong with me." Manon placed a hand on Rody's shoulder. "Nothing is wrong with you." Manon said sweetly. "It's okay if you like a man. I'm not going to sit here and judge you." Manon said. Her words felt like a punch to the heart. She was okay with it? How could she be okay knowing that her ex liked men. "But I'm the only one who feels this way?" Rody said. Manon shook her head. "I know someone who is like that as well. She likes both men and women. It's called being bisexual I think." Manon said. The word rang through his head. Bisexual. Could he be bisexual? "So are you going to tell me the name of this man?" Manon asked as she crossed her arms. Rody sighed, he was probably a little too comfortable with Manon to get over her acceptance easily. "Only if you tell me the name of the guy you're going out with." Rody replied as he leaned back on the bench. "Casper, and the guy you have a crush on?" Manon asked as Rody sighed. "Vincent." Manon moved back a bit. "Charbonneau?" Rody nodded. They sat in silence before Manon let out a soft gasp. Rody turned to look at her. She looked back at him. "I think you have a chance." Rody blinked twice before shaking his head. "Pardon?" He said. "No hear me out. I don't think Vincent likes women." Manon said as Rody furrowed his brows. Manon sighed as she placed a hand to her forehead. "About a week after we broke up I started flirting with Vincent. He seemed like a decent guy, and was really attractive. However no matter what I did he always seemed more uncomfortable, and annoyed. It turns out I'm not the only woman who had tried to get with him. A bunch of other girls in the orchestra did the same thing and he was never interested in them." Manon explained. Rody felt a small twinge of jealousy knowing that Manon had tried to get with Vincent after they broke up. He just didn't know if it was directed at her, or Vincent. He just chose to ignore it for now. "So you think he is gay because of that?" Rody said as Manon nodded. Rody looked back down at his feet. 'I don't know." He said. "You work tomorrow right?" Manon asked. Rody looked back at her and nodded. "Then I'll show up at your work tomorrow." Rody shot up. "What?" Manon smiled. "Yeah I'll show up, and see if he does anything that would look like he might like you back." Manon said. Rody shook his head. "How are you going to know that?" Rody asked as Manon shrugged. "A woman has her ways."She said with a sly smile. Now Rody was fearful for the next day.
