Rody grumbled as he felt something moving in his arms. Rody wrapped his legs over as he pulled it closer to him. "Rody, I need to get up." Vincent whispered. Rody's eyes remained shut. His head was pounding. The warmth of the bed, and Vincent provided comfort from it. "I don't want to." Rody mumbled as he heard Vincent sighed. His hands rubbing against back. Rody leaned closer. His head nuzzled into Vincent's chest. Laying there in his arms felt like heaven. "You know you're going to have to get up eventually." Vincent said as Rody swatted at something. "Yeah." Rody replied as one of Vincent's hands made its way up to his hair. Gently running his fingers through his scalp. Rody smiled as he heard Vincent let out a chuckle. Though their peaceful resting was soon interrupted by a loud ringing from the phone. Rody groaned as Vincent removed his arms. Rody peaked his eyes open as Vincent began pulling himself out of Rody's arm. Rody actively strengthened his grip on Vincent. "Rody you have to let go." Vincent said as Rody pressed his body closer to his. "Rody." Vincent said. His voice came out as a warning. A warning Rody didn't heed. "I will kick you in the crotch if you do not let go." Rody once again ignored it. Vincent sighed. "Don't say I didn't warn you." Was all that was said before Rody felt a sharp pain in his crotch. Rody yelped as his eyes were shot open as he was wide awake. He yelped immediately, letting go of Vincent as he placed his hands over it. Vincent got up and went to answer the phone. After a minute of two Rody felt the pain let up. As much as he just wanted to remain in Vincent's bed, he also knew by now he had to get up. He sat up, his head still pounding as he walked into the kitchen. He could hear the muffled voice of Vincent from the living room. Rody didn't know who it was and he honestly didn't care. He began to open Vincent cabinets looking for any sort of pain medication. Eventually coming across some as he heard Vincent hand up. He turned back to the counter as Vincent walked in. "What are you doing?" Vincent asked as Rody held up the bottle. "Pain medication." He replied. Vincent nodded. "Richard was on the phone, your bike got stolen." "WHAT!?" Rody shouted as Vincent covered his ears. "On the bright side we have the day off." Rody still slumped his shoulders. His bike was his only means of transportation. Now he had to save up just to get another one. "How the hell am I supposed to get to work now?" Rody complained as he slumped his head in his hands. "I can literally drive you to work." Vincent said as Rody stood back up straight. "Oh yeah, I forgot about that." Rody said as Vincent looked at him funny. It seemed he was debating about making some kind of snide comment, but held back. "Give me two of those." Vincent said as Rody poured some out. Handing two to Vincent, and leaving two for himself before dumping the rest back into the bottle. Rody was used to swallowing pills dry so it wasn't a problem for him. Vincent walked over and opened the fridge before grabbing a small bottle. "What is that?" Rody asked as Vincent opened it. Popping the pills in his mouth and taking a sip. "Lemon juice." He replied. Rody remained silent. He was concerned for a few seconds. Then he remembered Vincent couldn't taste. "I'll start on breakfast, you can go ahead and take a shower. Considering you also probably want to get out of your waiter uniform." Rody looked down, recalling that he did have to change back into his uniform whilst leaving the hospital. He hadn't once thought of changing out of it last night. "Yeah that's fair." Rody said as he heard Vincent moving around as he walked back into the bedroom. He still had his suitcase full of clothes so he grabbed a fresh pair he had packed. Using what remained to cover the binder before exiting to the bathroom. He turned the knobs on. Letting the shower warm up as he removed his clothes. Folding them neatly and placing them on the counter. He walked into the warm water. Something he could get used to as he grabbed a bottle of shampoo. He dipped his hair under the water before pouring a glob of the shampoo onto his head. Using his ails pouring what was in his hand into his hair. Rubbing it in with his fingers. It felt quite refreshing, as Rody struggled the last time he really remembered washing it. The soapy studs ran down his body when he placed his head back under the stream. Closing his eyes and just letting himself relax. It felt nice to take a shower after a hangover.
Rody emerged from the bathroom. A towel around his neck, and his waiter's uniform in his hands. He walked back to Vincent's room placing it in the suitcase before walking back out into the kitchen. Vincent had already set the table. A plate with three pieces of french toast with syrup and butter was placed where he sat. Several bowls filled with fresh berries were nearby. Vincent placed a cup of tea down where Rody's plate was. Looking up and now noticing his arrival. He smiled at Rody as he walked over and sat down. Vincent joined him with a glass cup of lemon juice in his hand. Rody didn't bother to question it. Looking over at Vincent's plate he had put at least one french toast on his plate. Rody could tell he had added butter, but not any syrup. Rody grabbed a few of each of the berries and placed them along his french toast. Grabbed his fork and almost immediately began to dig in. He felt like he was in heaven with Vincent's cooking. The taste of the berries alongside the toast was probably the best he ever had. He gave Vincent a smile as Vincent took bites of his. Quickly swallowing between bites. Eventually their plates were clear. Rody offered to do the dishes while Vincent freshened up. Not that he really minded. Even though it was a day off, Rody did want to go back to his apartment. Especially now that he didn't really have the threat of his parents, and the fact that rent was due today. After cleaning the dishes Rody made sure he had everything he had brought. All Rody had to do was wait for Vincent to be done. He didn't have to wait long as Vincent walked in placing his clothes in the hamper. "Do you think you could give me a ride back to my place? Rent is due today." Rody replied. Vincent nodded. "Do you have everything packed?" He asked, Rody nodded. "Besides I'm coming here often enough I can just grab it when I come over next time." Vincent rolled his eyes before Rody grabbed his suitcase and walked to the front door. Vincent grabbed his keys and was about to open the door. "One more thing." He said. Rody raised a brow before Vincent pulled him in for a quick kiss. Rody blinked a few times. "What was that for? Not that I'm complaining." Rody said. "I couldn't kiss you goodbye in my car." Vincent replied as he opened the door. Rody understood where Vincent was coming from. He wasn't really sure he wanted his landlady knowing he was with a man. Though Rody did wish they didn't have to part so soon. He could probably find some excuse to come by and see Vincent later that day as well.
Arriving at his apartment Rody felt a bit relaxed. Now that he was back without the worry of his parents breaking in and murdering him in his sleep. That still didn't stop a pounding at his door almost as soon as he opened his suitcase. "Coming." Rody replied as he walked up to the door. He looked through the peephole and was struck with fear. There behind it stood a gruff woman in her late fifties. She was a white lady with light brown hair. Though Rody was sure it would be turning gray some time soon. Bright blue eyes glared at his door. Her arms were crossed and her face was furious. Rody quickly opened the door. "Yes?" Rody replied sweetly. Mrs.Johnson held out her hand. "The rent." She replied as Rody rushed back inside. He grabbed the cookie tin and pulled it out. Grabbing all the euros inside and walking back over and handing her the cash. She went through them one by one, but her expression only seemed to get angrier. "This isn't enough." Rody began to sink further. He didn't have much left. "I don't have any more." Rody replied. "I can pay the rest by tomorrow." Mrs.Johnson pinched her nose bridge as she angrily sighed. "You've been late on your rent five times beforehand, Rody, and now this bullshit?" Rody felt him shrink into himself. Even though he was much taller than his landlady he still feared her. "I will keep these euros. You have three days to get your crap and get out. Is that understood?" Mrs.Johonson snapped. "Yes ma'am." Rody replied as she turned around and went back up the stairs. Rody shut the door and immediately began to panic. He had nowhere else to go really. Three days and he would be homeless. He started gathering the very few pessions that belonged to him. It really wasn't much as all he really had to add was the remainder of his clothes, the blanket he used to cuddle under, and the paper with Vincent's number. Rody walked over to his phone dialing it. He felt bad about having to call Vincent for something like this, yet if he had to sleep in the alleyway behind Richard's restaurant he would be willing to. The phone rang for a few times before finally picking up. "Hello?" Vincent's deep voice said. "Heyyy, Vince, so you know how rent was due today?" Rody said awkwardly. God he hated doing this. He could hear a sigh come from the other line. "I'll be there in a few minutes." "Pardon?" Rody had not expected that as a response. "I said I'll be over there in a few minutes." Vincent replied as his Rody hadn't heard him the first time. "But I..." "You were insufficient on your rent payment and now you are being kicked out, correct?" Vincent said as Rody sat there dumbfounded. "Yeah." Was all Rody could say. "Then I will see you in a few minutes." Vincent said before the line went dead. "Well that was easier than I thought." Rody said as he placed the phone back on the hook.
