Moving On

After an hour Rody left. Despite the run in with his parents he still decided to go home alone. Vincent trusted him to make it home safe. He just hoped that his trust wouldn't be in vain. He at least sent Rody home with some food. He wouldn't have his boyfriend starve. Though he didn't feel like eating that night. He wouldn't even be able to enjoy the food. He walked into the bathroom. Turning on warm water and letting the tub run. He removed his clothes before sitting down. The water felt nice around his usually cool skin. He thought back to their conversation. Rody's parents made no attempt to bring up the possibility that their son was a homosexual. Assuming that their confrontation was purely about humiliating, and trying to manipulate their son into coming back home, why not bring that up? How would they even know? Vincent's mind thought back to the binder under Rody's couch. It was clear it wasn't new. It even seemed to have several papers inside of it. With parents like Rody's he would have a difficulty hiding something like that. If they were the type to snoop, and he had things he would hide it could be possible they found them. Vincent felt pity for Rody. He had the personality of a golden retriever, and who knew what shit Rody had to go through. And after all that he still seemed so happy and carefree. Vincent slipped down into the tub. Letting the water cover his chest. It seemed to explain bits of Rody's behavior. Perhaps he should take Rody somewhere nice on their next date.

Rody slumped against the door. His body sank down until he was sat on the floor. He felt an internal pain gnawing at him. The food Vincent had prepared sat in his lap. Rody's stomach growled. Even in stressful situations it seemed hunger never evaded him. In fact he tended to be hungrier than usual. Horrible habits he failed to rid himself of. He stood up and walked into the kitchen. He grabbed a fork and pulled a full forkful b before placing it in his mouth. The flavor immediately melted into his mouth, and soon he found himself gobbling up the meal that was made for him. Leaving the container spotless. He walked over to the sink and dumped them in. He was considering just leaving them there. Yet his mind was constantly going back to his parents. He needed another way to distract himself from them. Vincent liked keeping things clean. Rody liked the thought of Vincent. He walked over and began to washt the container, and forks. He would have to give Vincent back the container again. Might as well take it back clean. Rody thought back at what Vincent would want him to do. Even under stress he would want him to take care of himself. He walked into his bathroom. Maybe that would calm him down. He turned the water to the warmest setting before removing his clothes and stepping in. The water in his apartment was busted. Consistently cold, and easily overflows. Sometimes it bursts out what you least expect. Your only hope was to just turn the water all the way on hot, and pray that it was at least warm. Though today the pipes were cooperating with him. It wasn't hot by any means, but it was decently warm. He stood in the shower letting the water run down his body. It provided something to think of that wasn't related to his parents. He wondered if Vincent would actually make good on the threat he made against his parents. He decided to not dwell on it. He would just have to hope they would never show up again. Though that hope was barely existent.
