(Verbatim • Mother Mother)
The monster was a creature straight from the deepest depths of hell. It was shaped like a huge lizard, though its head looked more like a cat's. Its skin seemed to be made out of black, old leather. As if it had been bended and scraped along surfaces for ages.
It had a black tail that seemed much longer than was necessary. It had protuberant, yellow eyes that looked like tiny beads that could fall out any moment. It's mouth was spread wide open in a frightful smirk. Its sharp teeth were crenated at the edges, and were colored a deep, bloody red. Meanwhile a foul smelling black goo was dripping from the corners of its mouth onto Hyunjin's jumpsuit.
Before he realised what he was doing Hyunjin was screaming. The monster immediately followed. It yelled in a shrill girly voice, making Hyunjin's blood seep out of his face from fear.
In a flash he turned his body and kicked the monster. It flew in the air for at least ten seconds and with a sordid thud the creature landed on the ground.
"SHOOT IT MINHO!" Hyunjin yelled. Minho pointed the gun at the monster. Hyunjin heard a click. "Minho!"The monster crawled on all fours and looked at the two terrified men. Minho was paralysed. He wanted to shoot it but he just couldn't pull the trigger.
"Don't shoot, Minho." The monster sang. But it hadn't been the shrill girlish voice it had used earlier, no. It had been a pretty familiar voice to Hyunjin, but a voice that Minho held dear.
Without even noticing it Minho lowered the gun, which was now pointed at the ground. The monster slowly crawled towards the elder.
"Minho." Hyunjin spoke with a shaky but austere voice. Minho let his eyes flash towards Hyunjin, and the latter noticed the fear in his eyes, before he looked back at the horrendous creature that was creeping its way towards them."Minho. Fucking. Shoot it." Hyunjin spoke breathlessly. The monster smiled even wider, almost victoriously, making more of the foul smelling goo drip out of his mouth onto the smooth white floor.
Finally Minho managed to lift up the gun again. He pointed it between the monster's eyes. The monster only smiled wider, his serrated red teeth on full display.
In what must've been half of a second the monster tilted his head sideways, slowly tilting it further and further, until Hyunjin thought it would (hopefully) break off.
Loud cracks and snaps echoed through the quiet hallway, making Hyunjin feel sick in his stomach. When his head was officially tilted sideways 180° it stopped moving.
"Don't shoot Minho." It said. Again in that voice.
"Don't you dare use Jisung for that." Minho snarled at the monster. He tightened his grip on the weapon. Hyunjin could hear the slight click of the trigger, but Minho didn't push it far enough to release a bullet. The monster seemed to back off, and both Hyunjin and Minho felt a certain kind of satisfaction. Though it was nothing compared to the intense fear and abomination both of the men felt.
The monster's smile widened again. With a loud snap of what Hyunjin guessed was its neck it twisted his head normally again.
He turned to the taller male. "Hyunjin..."
Hyunjin's breath quit in his throat.Even though the abhorrence's face didn't change, the voice did, yet again. This time it took the deep and soothing consistency that Hyunjin knew all too well, the one he missed too much.
"Don't let him shoot me." Felix's voice was dripping with fear. If Hyunjin hadn't seen the creature's mouth move he'd be certain that Felix had been in the room somewhere. The voice sounded identical to his lover's.
"Hyunjin I'm scared." The voice cried out. Really slowly, the monster crawled closer to the paralysed Hyunjin. "Hyunjin please..." It sounded like the monster was crying. It made Hyunjin's stomach clench together.
That was a big mistake.
"Stop." Hyunjin spoke. He hadn't meant to let his voice crack. He hadn't meant for it to shake. He hadn't meant for it to sound so emotional. Hyunjin didn't want the possible last time he'd hear his lover's voice be through a creature straight from hell. He didn't want that."Don't let him kill me..." The voice sobbed on. The creature's face stayed in the same terrific grin, making black goo seep out of the corners of his mouth.
"Hyunjin." This time it was Minho who spoke. Without breaking eye contact with the monster Hyunjin hummed a shaky yes.
"The revolver." Minho whispered. Hyunjin's face churned in confusion at first, but then he realised what the other had meant.
"You distract it." Hyunjin spoke in a firm tone. The monster came closer, continuing with his ballad of Felix's pleads and sobs, but Hyunjin managed to cut them out.
Minho made a sudden movement that startled both the monster and Hyunjin, but Hyunjin was much quicker to recover from it.
In a flash he reached for his belt where he had kept the loaded revolver in. He felt his cold fingertips brush the even colder metal and without hesitation he grasped for the handle.
He pulled it out of his belt and pointed it at the monster, but before he could shoot the monster let out a horrifying scream. Felix's voice had disappeared completely in a matter of seconds.
The scream sounded like multiple voices at once let out. Hyunjin could identify an elderly male's voice, a little girl's and a woman's, but there were much more. Thousands, it seemed.
Hyunjin almost dropped the gun in shock. The monster must've noticed the sudden dubiety and it leaped forward towards the taller. With a loud scream it landed on Hyunjin, who lost his balance and fell backwards.
Yet again he thanked his bullet proof vest for being such a good pillow.
Hyunjin watched as the monster started clawing his armored chest. The thin fabric around the vest was being ripped it pieces but the vest itself stayed practically intact.
Meanwhile Hyunjin tried his best to throw the monster off of him. "MINHO!" Hyunjin yelled. The monster was much smarter than Hyunjin would have imagined.
After completely ripping the thin black fabric that was covering the vest it had noticed that he hadn't made any progress in hurting the human under him whatsoever. It looked up at the terrified face of the man and lifted his right claw to slash at his face, ready to tear the smooth flesh off.
Hyunjin closed his eyes. He readied himself for the sharp claws to intrude the soft skin of his face.
Suddenly the room exploded.
Or well.
Hyunjin thought so.
Minho had fired the machine gun at the monster, who had been blown off of Hyunjin by the sudden power of the bullets hitting its horrendous body.
Hyunjin had covered his ears, but the 'explosions' had stopped already. He removed his hands from his ears.
Through the loud ring the gunshots had left on his eardrums Hyunjin could make out soft whines.
He opened his eyes and was looking straight at the monster, which was laying a few meters apart from him.
It was squirming while letting out the most horrifying sounds. Hyunjin gasped for air. He hadn't even realised he hadn't been breathing for multiple seconds.
Since his body was a shaking mess, he had trouble even sitting up. Minho still kept the gun pointed at the squirming and shrieking creature, completely in shock and therefore not able to move his body or help Hyunjin.
Hyunjin finally managed to get onto his feet. His eyes wide, his body still shaking uncontrollably.
"Minho." Hyunjin spoke. His voice was laced with fear and was trembling slightly. Minho nodded softly, indicating that he'd heard the other.
"Shoot it."
