The group was walking down a smaller hallway. It was just slightly more narrow but overall they were perfectly able to walk in a group.

Hyunjin and Seungmin were walking up front. Seungmin with one normal gun and Hyunjin held the machine gun.
Changbin was walking behind them, with two guns in his hand including the police gun. The rest was walking in between them.

Hyunjin was staring at his GPS, which he was constantly checking. He bit his lip in nervosity and looked back at the group for a second. He made eye contact with Felix, who gave him a strained but reassuring smile. He returned it as best as he could.

As expected, on the GPS was to be seen the blue dot, Hyunjin, and the five green dots. He zoomed out, but saw no red dot, to both his relief and confusion.

How could it be that they were being left alone for so long?
Hyunjin let his arm drop beside him. He lifted up the gun a little better and sighed, mostly out of exhaustion.

“Hyunjin, there’s a corner coming up.” Seungmin said. Hyunjin hummed.
“There’s nothing coming.” He said calmly. Seungmin nodded and looked straightforward again. There was an eerie silence hanging above the group, but not only because they were scared. Or maybe even because they weren’t sure. Sure who to trust.

Hyunjin kept his eyes on the watch. They were about ten meters apart from the corner, when Hyunjin suddenly saw a flicker of red right around the corner. But as fast as it came as fast as it went.

He stopped in his tracks. With big, confused eyes he watched the GPS.
“What is it?” Seungmin asked nervously.
“Nothi-what?” Hyunjin cut himself off when he yet again saw that flicker of red, except this time it was closer to the corner they were reaching.

The whole group stood still. Another flicker of red, again closer to the corner. Hyunjin was about to make a remark about it when the red dot returned, this time for real.

Hyunjin cursed under his breath. “Shit! We need to get outta here!” He whispered, not wanting to trigger whatever was about to round that corner.

Hyunjin tried to turn around, and his body did, but his feet stayed. As if he was glued to the ground.
“What the-?” He said. He tried to lift up on of his feet, but even with all the power he had it wouldn’t budge from the ground.

“Hyunjin, I can't move my feet from the ground!” Felix exclaimed in pure panic.
“Me neither!” Said the entire group. They desperately started trying to release their feet. Minho tried to release one of his feet by trying to get out of his shoe, but he was stuck to that as well.

Hyunjin gasped for air. He looked at his watch, the monster was about to turn around the corner. He made a quick and simple decision.

He lifted the machine gun up, pointed it at the corner and laid his finger against the trigger. He loaded the gun and waited.

Seungmin lifted his gun as well, and pointed it at the corner as well. He stretched his arm out before him and closed one of his eyes.

The whole group held their breaths. The eerie silence had vanished and had made room for fear and panic.

And not even five seconds later, a huge form appeared.

First it was a face. A human face. A woman’s face.
She had sharp, masculine features and long, silky black hair, that was touching the ground by her low position.

After that the huge body of a Komodo dragon followed. The body was at least three meters long, and the face was directly connected to the scaly neck, giving her an even freakier vibe.
