(Never • Mag.Lo, O Super)
Hyunjin saw some people rolling over to puke, and he couldn't blame them. He saw multiple people having panic attacks, and if he would have been honest he would have had done too if he didn't suppress his feelings so well.
He saw multiple people sobbing and crying, and he was on the verge of tears too.
He just wanted to see Felix. He wanted to hold him in his arms and cry in his chest or nape like he'd always do when he'd had a rough day. But maybe he'd never experience his lover's touch anymore. Who knows, maybe he'd die.
"What?" The female voice said. She laughed again. It was horrible. The way the voice rang deep inside his ears where it intruded his brains and left an uncomfortable, prickly sensation. The hairs on his neck stood up straight. He felt even more colour drain from his face.
"What?" The voice repeated. "No cheering?" She laughed again as sudden cheers of children filled the huge room, if it even was to be called a room. Hyunjin felt dizzier by the second. Fear and shock threatening to overtake him.
Hyunjin couldn't move. He wanted to take off his mask so he could puke, but he couldn't move. He really wanted to, but he couldn't.
"Wow." The female voice spoke in a monotone voice. "That's one way to kill the mood." A loud huff filled the room.
"Where are the speakers?" Hyunjin heard on his right side. It wasn't a voice he recognised so he didn't pay too much attention to it, but secretly he listened.
"I don't see anything that could pass as one." The voice spoke again. Hyunjin realised that the man had been right. He let his eyes roam around the room, carefully not to miss any details, but he could indeed find nothing that could pass as a speaker or anything close to it.
"Well. Let's do an introduction first." The female voice spoke, a lot less excited than she had done previously. "I'm Donna, the hostess of the games!" She spoke. Nobody reacted. Nobody cheered. The whole room kept silent. Not a single breath was to be heard, not even a short sob or a single sniffle.
You would be able to hear a single pin drop in the plastic grass.
"No cheering again?" One more time the fake cheering of children filled the room. Hyunjin gulped. "Anyway! I'm so happy that you are here with me!" She spoke, again in that disgustingly excited voice. "Thank you for coming, everyone!"
This made a loud wave of protest peal through the huge room. Even Hyunjin started yelling.
"We didn't come here! We want to go home!"
"Show yourself, coward!"
"We hate you!"
"I want to go back home!"
"SHOW YOURSELF!"They heard a loud sigh through the speakers. A lot of people fell silent, but there were still curses that were being thrown through the room.
"Fine. Whatever you want." The voice snarled. For about thirty seconds nothing happened.Suddenly the big room fell silent. Right there, under the much too large, red swing, a hole opened. The whole room erupted in confused whispers again.
Barely a second later a woman emerged from out of the hole, slowly being lifted up by a platform. Her expression was blank and a little annoyed, though she didn't seem scared whatsoever by the fact that she was being surrounded by one hundred people that were thirsty for her blood, mad that she had brought them there, if she even did that.
The entire room echoed with screams and curses. Hyunjin felt his blood starting to boil. He balled his fists and felt the urge to hit the woman grow. Fuck morals. He hated her guts already.
"YOU BITCH WE DON'T WANT TO BE HERE!" He yelled at the top of his lungs. He managed to get on his feet. His anger rose as he started approaching the woman, along with at least fifty other people, the rest was or crying on the ground, or had fainted.
However, at exactly 20 meters apart from the woman Hyunjin was stopped. An unknown force held him back from coming closer and beating the shit out of the woman. No matter how hard he pushed he couldn't get any further, and looking around the other people had te same problems with it.
Hyunjin gave up on fighting the unknown force and instead started cursing at the woman. He actually had no idea if the woman was the one responsible for the mess he had been brought in, but either way life wasn't fair to him so why should he be fair to her?
The woman's expression turned into an annoyed grimace. She poked the side of her cheek with her tongue and let it roam there for a minute.
Hyunjin's face must've become red from the intense of cursing and yelling but he didn't care and on top of all no one could see his face anyway because of his mask.
Suddenly the woman opened her mouth and yelled: "Silence!"
The singular word yawned through the room where it reached the walls, where the walls threw back the sound which caused an annoying echo. The entire room fell silent.
"Thank you." The woman said. Everyone wanted to do something, say one more thing, but nobody had the courage for it. Because the fact that the woman could speak so loud without a microphone was terrifying.
Or she probably had a microphone, but the people just didn't see it. Either way it had been obvious that second that she wasn't a person to mess with.
"As I said." The woman spoke again. Her annoyed grimace turned into one full of joy and excitement. "Welcome to the games of the Monster's Labyrinth!"
The entire room kept silent. "Ahh... again no cheering?" The woman spoke. Without even having to do anything the entire room was engulfed with the robotic cheering of children yet again.
Hyunjin took a few steps back, and so did some other people. He had no idea what to do in this situation, so instead he just did nothing. Nothing except listening.
"I'm Donna, the host of the show, but you can just think of me as one of the Higher Authorities." The woman spoke.
Higher Authorities? What is that supposed to mean?
Donna clapped her hands together. "Now everyone take a seat and listen very well because I'm going to tell you what the rules are and how the games work. This is the only way for you to find out so listen well. Questions after."
