(7 Weeks & 3 Days • yungatita)

After they had disinfected Felix’s wound with the alcohol (Hyunjin had to hold his hand during the action to stop him from bursting out in tears from the pain) they had left for the nursery.

As they were walking Felix and Hyunjin caught up on everything that had happened. The previous day had been such a mess that they didn’t really have any time to talk, so they took their time.

“And then there was this guy that tried to kill me, but then this huge spider came and ripped his head off.” Felix said much too casually. He portrayed the entire situation with his right hand, since his left was hurting too much.
Hyunjin’s mouth fell open but he didn’t make a remark about the story not Felix's casuality.

“And then?” Hyunjin asked. He was completely shocked that Felix had survived all of that on his own, but with that his respect for the other only grew. Hyunjin had always known that Felix was strong, and not only mentally, but this was something he hadn’t expected from his significant other.

Felix shrugged his shoulders. “I searched his bag and then-“ A loud gasp. “Oh I completely forgot!” He exclaimed. He slapped his forehead to punish himself for his stupidity and stopped in his tracks.

Ignoring the questioning looks from Hyunjin and the rest of the group he walked towards Minho to grab his backpack. Pretty much the entire group had insisted that Felix wouldn’t carry his own backpack because of his wounded arm, even though he had found it incredibly stupid himself.

Minho handed Felix the backpack with a questioning look and Felix accepted it with a quick smile. He put the bag to the ground and kneeled in front of it.

Hyunjin walked towards Felix and crouched down beside him. “What is it?” He asked. “What did you find in his backpack?”

Felix just threw Hyunjin a mischievous look and a sly smile before zipping the backpack open. He reached his hand inside.
When he found what he was searching for he retreated the package with a proud smile.

Hyunjin looked confusedly as Felix stood up with the thing wrapped in what looked like a towel in his hands.
“What is that?” He asked, almost suspiciously.

“I’m pretty sure it's yours.” Felix said as his smile grew wider. The rest of the group started getting curious too and stepped a little closer.

Felix unwrapped the towel and Hyunjin’s mouth fell open. He watched as Felix retreated the familiar hilt from the towel.

But instead of giving it to him he pointed it downwards. He put his thumb against the red ruby and Hyunjin couldn’t help the gasp from escaping his throat as the sword unfolded.

Jisung and Changbin jumped back when the swooshing sound of the silver blade rang through their ears.
Hyunjin looked Felix in the eyes, confusion and enthousiasm filling his eyes.

“But, how?” He asked. Felix chuckled as he handed Hyunjin the sword. Hyunjin took it gratefully and felt a certain wave of power flush his veins as he swung the thing around skilfully.

“I don’t know.” Felix smiled. “I was fighting… uhm…” His face contorted with some type of pain at the memory. “A monster and it just happened.” He admitted. Hyunjin chuckled and thanked Felix before pressing a peck against his lips.

“All well and good but we should continue moving I think.” Minho sighed, although he would be lying if he’d say he wasn’t impressed by the sword too.

“Yes, you’re right.” Hyunjin said. He unfolded the sword and stuck the hilt in his pocket before clicking on his GPS. “We’re almost there.” He said before he and the rest of the group continued walking.

“Ok so here’s the plan.” Seungmin said in a hushed voice. He pointed at the door in front of them. “Me and Minho barge in there with the guns and the machine gun.”

The group nodded as they were listening intently to the man. Felix was holding Hyunjin’s hand with a slight nervousness to it.

“Then if we see nothing Hyunjin and Changbin follow with the guns and Jisung and Felix will warn us the moment they see something.” Seungmin finished.

Both Felix and Jisung felt slightly annoyed that they were being babied by the rest of the group, but they didn’t really word it out since there wasn’t any room to do so anyway.

And after all, everyone meant it kindly.

“Ok, on the count of three.” Minho said with an edge of anxiety to his voice.

“One.” The group took a deep breath to calm themselves down.

“Two.” Everyone tensed their muscles, and everyone except Felix, who didn’t hold a gun, tightened their grip around their weapons.

“Three!” Seungmin pushed down the doorknob and the door flew open. Both Minho stepped in as the first with the machine gun pointed to the middle of the room.

Seungmin followed almost immediately, doing the same as Minho. Everyone held their breath as they waited for the two men to give a sign.

“Nothing to see here.” Seungmin sighed in relief. Not lowering the gun he walked further into the room along with Minho.

After the two males were standing in the room fully Hyunjin and Changbin followed, followed by Jisung and lastly by Felix.

“Keep up your guard, grab anything that might be useful and then we get the fuck out.” Hyunjin spoke nervously.

They walked further into the large room. It almost looked like a shop.

Aisles filled with anything from disinfectant spray to skin care were standing in symmetrical rows. The smell of medicine and cleaning chemicals filled their nostrils.

At the end of the long room weren’t any aisles though. There was something that looked like a doctor’s office.
There was a desk, a bed, a cabinet with what Felix guessed was filled with stuff like bandages and even more disinfectant stuff.

“Felix, you should stay there.” Hyunjin said calmly. Although he wasn’t calm at all. He suddenly regretted taking Felix in the room with them. There hadn’t been enough firearms for all of them, and they just concluded that not giving Felix the last gun was the better idea since he was wounded.

Being scared for your own life was one thing, but being scared for the life of the person you love most is another.

“Ok.” Felix mumbled. But of course he didn’t listen.

He walked further into the room, nobody really noticed anyway since they were too busy stuffing their pockets with anything that might help them survive.

Feeling some kind of attraction, Felix was slowly drawn towards the dimly lit doctor’s office. He didn't even feel scared.

When he reached it he walked over to the desk. He slowly let his fingers run along the edge of the highly polished birch-wood. On top of it was a pencil box and some neatly piled up papers.

“Felix!” He heard Jisung yell. He didn’t look up at him. He was much too entranced with the framed picture on the desk.

There was a family in the picture. The type of picture you see hanging on a wall in the hallway. The type of picture you see a man holding during his long shift as he waits for the clock to annonce the end of it s he can go home to his family.

The larger man, what Felix assumed was the father, was standing in the top middle. He had his arm draped around a fragile, kind looking woman, who was smiling broadly. In the bottom middle was a little boy. He was smiling widely while holding a teddy bear.  His spiky, soft hair a mess and his face smudged with happiness.

Why does the boy look strangely familiar? Felix thought. He was about to pick up the picture to get a closer look when he froze in his tracks.

He felt all the blood drain from his face as well as the thin hair in his neck standing straight up. He heard some of his friends call out for him but it sounded more as if he was underwater.

He sucked in a breath as he felt a bony hand touch his shoulder.
