(Six Forty Seven • Instupendo)

Hyunjin looked at the GPS on his wrist for the n’nth time that minute. As expected he saw the still moving green dot, labelled 15.

Around that dot, however, we’re other green dots. They pretty much always missed Felix, but it was more than enough to stimulate Hyunjin to run harder.

They were all jogging towards Felix’s location, since running would be much too exhausting.
Felix was about 10 kilometers away from them. The man had been quite fast with moving the last few days, in contrast to their group.

They were tired, scared, and most of all hungry. Though Hyunjin barely granted them any time to eat or sleep.
Although the entire group had felt extremely relieved when they had found Felix pretty much walking towards them.

Hyunjin and Jisung were the only ones to have a personal connection with Felix, but the rest of the group hurried along with them since they were anxious too. Although they weren’t quite sure how.

After about half an hour or so both Seungmin and Jisung practically collapsed on the ground in exhaustion.

“No!” Hyunjin yelled in frustration. “We’re almost there!” He was practically on the verge of crying. He was exhausted too, but he mostly just wanted to hold his beloved husband.

“Hyunjin, we can’t go much faster.” Minho said. “We need a break.” He plopped down on the ground and let his head drop onto Jisung’s shoulder. Both were panting and Hyunjin could see the exhaustion.

But then that endless pit of energy returned, and he suddenly knew he would be able to go on much longer. He /wanted/ to go on much longer.

“I’ll run forward.” He stated. Changbin looked up in shock and defiance.
“No.” He said firmly. “That’s too hazardous and the danger of losing each other is too.” Changbin almost sounded… mad? Hyunjin noticed it but didn’t have any energy to waste.

“I don’t care.” Hyunjin spoke honestly. “There are a lot of people coming his way without him knowing. I’m not going to let him be killed right before I’m able to see him again.” With that being said Hyunjin turned around and started to jog in Felix’s direction. He heard the people of his alliance and his friends calling after him but he didn’t listen and just continued running.

In his backpack was enough to survive for a while. There was a little food, a few bottles of water, a revolver and a small machine gun with extra munition, and to top it all off a simple lighter.
So even if he lost the group, he’d be able to go on for a little while longer.

Hyunjin checked his watch again, and his breath hitched. He didn’t stop running, on the contrary, he started running faster.

There was a huge red dot coming Felix’s way. Felix was moving the other way pretty calmly, which made Hyunjin assume he was oblivious to it. His heart beat faster and he started running faster.

Hyunjin looked in front of him again. There was a three-way splitting. He knew he had to take the middle, and after that he’d have to make two more turns to reach Felix. If he ran as fast as he was running right now he’d be there in way less than five minutes.

The red dot was coming dangerously close, and Hyunjin was so much more than extremely grateful for Felix choosing to walk in Hyunjin’s direction.

One more turn. Hyunjin told himself in his head. He felt exhausted and he was sure he was going to collapse any time soon, but he knew that if he gave up right now it would be like breaking his leg right in front of the finish line.

Hyunjin started panting. His breathing got ragged and he had to gulp down the unpleasant sensation building up in his throat.
One more turn and then-

BANG

Hyunjin froze in his place. He felt his heart stop, as well as his breath. He recognised that bang. It was the exact same he had heard with Seong-Ho. The bang that had killed him…

He shook his head in denial. He wasn’t capable of moving.
Though he knew he had to go on.

Without any further hesitations Hyunjin sprinted around the corner. He was ready to see pools of blood, separated limbs, ripped flesh or whatever horrors.
But luckily he saw none of those.

He did see a certain figure sitting against the wall. The man was breathing heavily and looked as if he was in a lot of pain. He was groaning in pain.

Without thinking twice Felix took off his mask. His body was burning up in pain, but he was sure he didn’t break anything. He was just a little bruised, to say the least.

He looked up and froze. Barely five meters away from him stood a figure. He guessed it was a man from the way the body was shaped.

The man was wearing a mask, so he didn’t know who it was. In a flash he had drawn his gun.

“Take off your mask and drop your weapons!” He said in a shaky voice. The gun was aimed exactly at the man’s head, and he was trusting his aiming skills that he wouldn’t miss.

Hyunjin looked at the gun, and then at the pained and scared face of his lover. Hyunjin smiled under the mask and calmly took it off his face. When he met with Felix’s eyes he noticed the genuine surprise.

Felix's eyes started to well up with tears, but Hyunjin didn’t move.
“Hyunjin?” Felix whispered softly. Hyunjin nodded and smiled. His heart was aching to be closer to Felix, but he had to wait.

When Felix finally dropped his gun to the ground Hyunjin quickly stride forward to embrace Felix.
He fell onto his knees and opened his arm for Felix to dive in.

But instead he felt a cold metal placed right between his eyes, on his forehead. Hyunjin looked at Felix in shock when he realised it was the gun from earlier.

Too rushed?
Now it's finally gonna get good though (I hope)
