Chapter 6// Figuring Things Out

"Do you know where Simon is?" Josh asked Ethan, who was sitting at the island with Alice.

"No, why?" Ethan asked, worried.

"He's disappeared." Josh answered. He seemed angry.

"He's not in his room?" Ethan stood up and walked over to Josh.

"No, he's not in the house!"

'Didn't one of his windows lead to a roof?' Alice thought. She'd seen it with her own eyes. "Guys, check the roof outside his room." Alice interrupted their discussion.

"The roof?" Ethan and Josh questioned in unison.

"Yes, the roof. He might be out there." Alice stood up, walking out of the room. She didn't much care if they ever found Simon, but she did care if her brother was unhappy. She wouldn't have told them anything if she didn't care about her only brother.

"Hey Alice!" Josh called before she exited the room.

"What?" Alice turned on her heels.

"Thanks." He smiled.

"Anything for you, brother." She continued to walk out of the room, and up the steps.

Alice walked to Vik's room, she found herself hanging out with him the most. I guess you could say he was her... 'boyfriend?'

"Hello Vikram." Alice sat down on his bed. He was at his computer, on twitter.

"Oh hey, Alice." Vik tweeted something out, and then smiled at her.

"How are things?" She pulled out her phone, reading Vik's tweet.

"Great, actually. Was just planning a Q&A... Wanna be in it?"

"Sure!"

"Alright, just let me tweet out the hashtag and we will start soon enough."

Alice read the tweet as he typed it, as she has since moved to a chair next to Vik. She laughed at the hashtag, she in fact was the younger zerker in this house.

Q&A with Vik? What a great day!:-)

Alice was genuinely happy with being on camera. Especially if it was with someone like Vik. He was much calmer that half of the boys in the house, and he was very kind to Alice.

As soon as a lot of questions came in, they started the Q&A.

"Hey guys it's me Vikstar123 and today, I'm doing Q&A with Alice Zerker also known as Josh's little sister! Say hi Alice!" Vik looked away from the camera.

"Hey Vik's fans!" Alice giggled, knowing she was going to be watched by thousands of people.

"Alright, well. Let's get into the questions."

Alice was scrolling through the questions on her phone, and she'd picked a few she liked.

"@sidemen_sara asked, what's it like to be the sister of Joshua Zerker? Well, it's no different that being a regular sister! I don't get any cool perks, except for the tee-shirts..." Alice fake frowned.

"Nice Alice." Vik laughed.

"Alright! Next question is from @abigaillprior and she asks, are you and Vik dating?" Alice covered her mouth after she read that out.

"Well? Are we?" Vik asked her.

"I don't know, your the one who's supposed to tell me." She giggled.

"Alice Zerker and I are in fact, dating." Alice could tell by his tone that he was joking, nothing to be taken seriously.

"Yep. Definitely dating." Alice widened her eyes, nodding slowly.

"Anyways..." Vik put a hand on the back of his neck.

"I think it's your turn to ask some questions..." Alice smiled, fearing she had made this video awkward for the both of them.

For the rest of the Q&A, most of the questions were aimed toward Vik. Occasionally someone word ask if they were going to any conventions together, and Alice would answer 'I don't know yet' to all of them. But for the most part she just nodded along and listened to Vik talk. Eventually, he ended the video with a goodbye.

"Vik?" Alice asked, leaning back in her chair.

"Yes?" Vik had already started to edit the video.

"Are we... are we a thing?" Alice nervously spat out.

"Of course we are! I love you, Alice."

"Really? I don't remember ever being asked out?" Alice giggled, pulling out her phone.

"Well, Alice? Would you like to be my girlfriend?" Vik smiled at her.

"Of course I will! Now I just need to tell Josh...." Alice bit her lip.

"Well, you could text him?"

"True."

Alice;
Josh, Vik and I are dating...

Joshua;
I figured, you've been spending a lot of time with him lately! Congrats to both of you!!!

Josh took that better than Alice had expected. She expected him to yell, scream at her for falling in love with one of his friends. Luckily, that wasn't the case.

"Josh knows now." Alice smiled at her phone screen.

"I'm glad..." Vik slid his hand into hers. She continued to smile, lifting his hand to her mouth and kissing it.

"Babe, can we cuddle?" She asked, realizing how cold it was in Vik's room.

"Sure, in a second." Vik reassured her and squeezed her hand before she let go. She got out of her chair and went over to his bed, laying down.

Alice pulled out her phone and took a picture of her laying on Vik's bed. She pulled up Twitter and quickly typed out a tweet before Vik laid next to her.

Vik's bed is actually very comfortable.

"Glad you like my bed." Vik looked up at her from his phone.

"Hey, as the tweet said, it's very comfortable." She giggled.

Vik put his phone onto the floor next to his bed. Alice put hers back in her pocket before Vik wrapped his arms around her and she nuzzled into his chest. Alice felt safe here, like nothing could hurt her anymore. She liked that feeling.

"I'm glad your so warm." Alice smiled into his chest, "I was getting really cold."

Vik yawned, causing Alice to shut her eyes. Eventually, the rising and falling of Vik's chest put Alice to sleep.
