Chapter 22// Singing

"Alright guys, it's time to do our Q&A. Alice, Cal, you know what your doing in the crowd, right?" Josh prepped them all. Cal and Alice were going on stage in a few minutes to get questions to ask the group.

"Yep! Let's go this." Alice gripped her mic tightly, she was afraid. It was her first stage appearance with such a popular group of boys.

"Right, let's go Alice!" Cal gave her a quick high-five before running over to the stage manager for information. Alice followed.

"Alice! Wait!" Vik grabbed her arm, and pulled her in for a hug, "Goodluck. I love you."

"Thanks babe. See you soon." Alice smiled up at him, then quickly ran over to where Cal was.

"We go on when that clock hits five." Cal informed her.

Alice looked up at the clock he was pointing at. They had about twenty seconds, "Right."

"This is so cool. Do you want me to start?" Cal asked her, she nodded.

Ten seconds.

Nine.

Eight.

Seven.

Six.

"Let's rock this show." Alice's nerves had disappeared.

Three.

Two.

One.

"Let's go Alice!" Cal ran up the steps to the stage. Alice followed.

There had to have been at least two hundred people in the room. Alice's nerves came back.

"Sup guys! As many of you know I'm Calfreezy and this is Alice Zerker! Most of you may know her as 'omgitsalicez' or as Joshua Zerker's sister! Today we have a very exciting Q&A for you."

"Yeah! Wait, can I introduce them?" Alice giggled.

"Go right ahead," Freezy extended his arm, giving her the spotlight.

"Right, so we have the Sidemen!" The crowd cheered, "let me introduce the seven of them! Harry, or wroetoshaw! Ethan or Bae-zinga! Tobi or tobjizzle! Joshua my lovely brother also known as Zerkaa! Simoné, a second brother to me or miniminter7, and Vikram, my lovely boyfriend also known as vikkstar123!" Vik ran up to her, and kissed her on the cheek. All the fans awed.

"Love you bae." Vik giggled.

"None of that on stage, that's gross. You're both gross." Simons face twisted up.

"You're just jealous." Alice giggled.

"Sure." Simon rolled his eyes.

"Love you Simoné!" Alice smiled.

"Alright cool, let's get this started, shall we?" Freezy looked over at Alice.

"We shall." The both took the stairs onto the showroom floor.

"Who has a question?"

"Stay in your seats please, we will come to you!" Alice smiled.

"Right, I have a question over here... What's your question?"

"My question is for Harry, why don't you upload?" The boy spoke, everyone on stage giggled.

"Oh come on!" Harry threw his hands up.

The panel went on for another hour or so, tons of questions were asked about Alice and Vik. Alice though it was funny.

Eventually, they ended the Q&A and it was time for JJ to sing his songs, and for Alice and Vik to preform.

Time seemed to be going by so quickly for Alice, and before she knew it, it was her turn to sing.

"Well, I have a special treat for you guys," JJ began, "Alice is going to sing!" The crowd erupted into screams once again, and Alice walked onto the stage. They had quickly set up a piano for Vik.

"Thanks JJ!" Alice gave him a quick hug. "Actually? JJ? Could you stay here? I'm inviting all the Sidemen up for this one." All the boys came rushing up the stairs and onto the stage. Vik sat down at the piano.

"Alright, let's do this." Alice sat down next to Vik.

"Ready?" He whispered, kissing her cheek.

"As ready as I'll ever be." She sighed, getting ready to sing.

"Here we go." Vik stretched out his fingers, and began to play.

She took a deep breath, it was time to sing.

"I've been here day in, day out
Never spoken out loud

What I never knew
Is that you would be here too

So I took my short steps
And I breathed my deep breaths
I did it cuz of you
Cuz you would see me through." She stared at Vik as he played, she felt as if she was sing it to him. Then she stood, and made her way over to Josh.

"Did I make it clear that I love you
From the other side of the screen?

Did I try enough to convince you
Of what I really mean?" She sang to him, considering she's spent years watching him through a screen.

"But now I see
You all are here for me

How did things turn out this way?

I'm living my dream each day
Giving what I can
And learning who I am

And now I look around me
And friends are all that I see

And everywhere I go
I hope that my heart shows

Did I say enough that I love you
From the other side of the screen?

Do I seem sincere when I thank you?
Cuz I mean just what I mean

But now I see
You all are here." She walked around to all of the sidemen while singing these lines, and then made her way back to Vik. She sat back down and watched as he played.

"And now I see
You all are really here, yeah

And now I see
You all are here with me

I've been here day in, day out
Said I love you out loud

What I never knew
Is that you would be here, too..." Quickly, as he played the last chord, she kissed him on the lips. He smiled.

"Well, thank you all so much for coming, JJ is going to take us out with his new single, and I'll see you all later!" Alice took another deep breath. She'd done it. She'd sung for a crowd.

"Good job, baby." Vik took her hand as she walked off the stage. So much adrenaline was running through her, she had to sit down against the wall.

"That. Was. Amazing." Alice smiled.

"Your amazing." Vik sat down next to her.

Alice pulled out her phone and took a quick selfie.
