Chapter 9//Pax and Planes

It had been a week since Alice arrived at the Sidemen house. Her mother had stopped calling. She must have found another boyfriend to keep her company.

That was one thing Alice was sure of; her mothers new boyfriend. She had to have had one by now. Maybe to drown out the sadness of her last child leaving her, or for her to enjoy the new found freedom of not having to take care of any children. Really, Alice or Josh could have cared less about what their mother was up to lately.

"Alice! Get your ass out of bed!" Josh called up to her, "And get Vik up as well!"

"I think you woke us both up!" Alice called back, answering her brother.

"Good." Josh walked away from the door.

"Ugh, guess it's time to get our flight." Vik had been telling Alice for weeks that they were flying to America to enjoy the company of his American friends.

Alice was exited about going to America. She was really excited to enjoy the American way of everything she'd ever learned in England. Luckily, she wasn't the only one.

Vik rolled out of bed, taking off his shirt as soon as he got his feet underneath him. Alice smiled, he was playing with her.

Alice had practically moved into his room. Most of her shirts were in one of the empty corners of his room after all the time she has spent in there. So she decided to tease him back. She pulled off her shirt, unveiling her white Victoria's Secret bra. She felt Vik's eyes on her.

"Alice, what are you doing?" He asked as she bent over to grab her black Sidemen shirt.

"Doing exactly what your doing to me." She responded, slipping on her shirt. Then she slipped off her sweatpants and replaced them with her black high waisted skinny jeans. Vik copied, except slipping on regular skinny jeans. They were almost matching.

"Welp, the bags are downstairs, I think we are ready. All I need to do is start the vlog." Vik pulled out his camera.

"Alright, I just need to put on my makeup and then I'll be done." Alice picked up the foundation and concealer from her pile of clothing, and started putting it on.

"Hey guys what up its Vikkstar123 here coming at you with another vlog. Today we are going to be flying to Boston for Pax East, all of the Sidemen including Alice here are going. There she is, my lovely girlfriend," Vik put the camera on Alice as she finished up her makeup.

"Hey Vik's subscribers, I'm actually super cool!" Alice laughed.

"Sure you are." Vik stole a kiss quick before Alice slapped him.

"You better be kidding, Vikram." She capped her make-up.

"I was just kidding love." Vik laughed. "Anyway..." Alice rolled her eyes and exited the room.

Across the hallway, Josh was still packing.

"Hey Josh!? Need any help?" She bit her lip.

"No, but Tobi, Ethan, and Harry are all downstairs. I suggest you go watch them. Make sure they don't wreck the house while none of us are watching." Josh was busy, so Alice didn't question it.

She made her way downstairs and into the kitchen, where all of the boys were.

"Morning Alice!" Ethan stood, walking over to give her a hug.

"Morning, Ethan. Tobi, Harry. Nice to see you both again." Alice nodded at them as she walked over to the fridge.

"So Alice," Harry spoke, "How did you and Vik start dating?"

Behind him, Tobi giggled.

Alice really didn't want to do a whole flashback sob story of the night Vik and her 'starter dating', so she came up with the most basic answer. "He liked me, I liked him, so we started dating. Not much to it."

"Oh. Wow." Harry spun back around in his chair. Clearly not satisfied with the answer she gave him.

"Well, I've called the cabs. They should be here in about half an hour. All the boys are still getting ready besides Vik..." Tobi rolled his eyes.

"Josh and Simon need girlfriends to straighten them out." Ethan laughed.

"Josh has a girlfriend..." Alice said, confused.

"Well, a girlfriend that's actually around, I mean." Ethan responded.

"So Freya's never around?"

"Not much."

"Oh."

Alice thought this was strange. She seemed like such a nice girl, and how did Josh know he loved her just by seeing her thought Skype? She must have been around more than Alice was thinking, because none of it made sense.

Half an hour passed by quickly, and the cab ride to the airport was nothing special. Customs went by smoothly and they had an hour to spare until their flight arrived. The boys wanted to go eat before the flight, so everyone agreed to get some Nandos.

Alice wasn't hungry and presumably thought she wouldn't be hungry for a few hours. Long enough to to make it to America. She could eat on the plane if she really needed to.

After all the boys finished their food, they all headed to the gate to wait for the last thirteen minutes. Vik and Alice sat down away from the boys, so they could talk for a little before they would be separated on the plane. Josh didn't want his baby sister to not be seated next to him, and Ethan had already called the seat on the other side of her.

"Sometimes, I just wish everyone wasn't in my business all the time." Vik explained. They were having a deep conversation about all of the fans not letting the youtubers have space.

"Well, I guess that's what you get when your popular. You should be used to it by now." Alice sighed.

"Just wait, soon you'll be popular and then we'll see what you say about all the fans." Vik giggled.

"I know, it's already become something big, and I've only been around for about two weeks."

"Trust me, it gets worse with age."

"Then I don't want to age."

Just then their flight was called, and they all boarded the plane. Luckily, Josh, Simon, Ethan, and Alice were all in the same row. Josh was at the window, Alice was next to him, Ethan next to her, and Simon was on the aisle. Tobi, Harry, Vik, and JJ were across the aisle from them.

'This should be interesting...' Alice thought, whilst half the boys pulled out their cameras.

"Off to Boston with the squad." Simon pointed the camera at Josh, Ethan, and Alice.

"Hashtag team side squad." Alice laughed.

"Well, I'll see you all, in Boston." Simon said as he did his usual outro.

Alice giggled at the response to her tweet. Vik must have been so lonely with Harry, since JJ and Tobi were clearly having a heated discussion not including the other two.

"Josh? Is it okay if I lay my head on your shoulder and sleep?" Alice asked, yawning. She hadn't realized she was tired until then.

"Sure. But don't expect to wake up and not have Twitter spammed with pictures from Ethan or Simon featuring us." Josh smiled as Alice laid her head on his shoulder.

"Goodnight Joshua."

"Goodnight Alice, I love you."
