Liverra's POV

My stomach was going to kill me.

It's not something I expected to start something I didn't expect to come this early. My expectations were too high, I hung too high on these shady big trees.

My stomach had been hurting since morning and my kimbap fell into a puddle of water without even having the chance to take a bite. I was not accompanied by my driver who suddenly had a fever today. And as I arrived at this place, I didn't know what bad things would happen to me again.

It was a tall building with walls of brown bricks that made it look like a Three Little Pigs house with chocolate for the bricks and caramel for the interlocks— maybe they asked Hansel and Gretel as the architects. And then just let the villains work together to destroy this building. What a multiverse.

However, this was not so bad. I liked this place when it's quiet. I'd been here before the new academic year started, maybe two weeks ago. Not many people, only some doing administration and strolling around the University. When it's quiet it's still fine. But when it was running normally, I felt like I wanted to run away right now.

"New students please gather at Ruby Hall!" The blonde haired boy shouted with all his might. He was sweating a lot even though the weather was starting to get cold. The colleague next to him helped him pass the tissues while talking on the walkie-talkie. It seems they were busy enough to handle this crowd. For seniors, this time didn't make them as happy as freshmen who were so excited for their first day as children who have grown up and are far from their parents. Freedom !

I followed the group with the same name tag as me, walking to the senior's directions until I arrived at a large room. It had been bustling with freshmen who'd be my friends for four years. Only the front seats were left and I had no other choice. My position was too close to the personage seats.

Not long after I sat down, the large doors closed. The noise gradually decreased as the lecturers and Student Association members arrived in quite formal clothes. They sat in front of the stage like a press conference for movie actors, accompanied by directors, producers, and their people. Damn– my stomach hurted even more when I feel how tense this situation was.

The Student Association (or 'SA' in short) members who were actually my upperclasses looked– uhm, cool? Yep, I knew they were the chosen ones. With those beautiful faces and intellectual looks, they could run this university with achievements. I've heard from several new students who were also queuing for administration that they were at a certain level. They were selected by the deans for their leadership skills, almost perfect academics, and good social skills. In the end, all SA members were the dream of the students here.

"Good afternoon. I am Madelaine Hayes, Head of Social and Human Resources of the Student Association. I hereby welcome new students to Woodstone Global University."

Applause and admiration filled the room as the girl on the podium bowed respectfully. Her beautiful face, soft voice, and well-defined personality seem to be a trending topic for new students. Even so, a little memory crossed my mind about this girl's name but I couldn't remember it. As far as I knew, this university had been collaborating with my previous high school for a long time. Most of the students moved here to continue their bachelor degree, she might be one either, and including–

"And let us welcome our Chief Executive, Christopher Chan Bang , along with our esteemed University chancellor."

–him.

My breath stuck in my throat, my whole body felt cold when the corner of my eye caught a figure that I didn't fully expect to be here. My chest ached as that sturdy back walked towards the stage. His aura was too much, his dark black hair emphasized his white and fresh facial skin. He didn't change at all.
