Ten days later
"So you're married to Senior Chan?"
Someone that I considered as the primitive girl with fibrous roots on Nobita's hair in a potato sack outfit— um, sorry, I meant Anne, demanded an explanation for my absent and weird excuses. Since the first day, I knew I hadn't spent my time with her enough but she didn't take it personally. Well, I couldn't be sure much— at least I didn't hurt her and it was such a good achievement for me. At least I didn't bring her into my problems until my last day here.
"Yes— okay, thank you for not screaming. We did it for family business matters but ended up—"
"You fall in love with each other?"
I nodded. Such a teenage fiction story I had. "I know this is super cringe."
"Oh girl, cringe is just opinion." She laughed. "At least better than being a menace to people, right?"
I wasn't still not used to people more than Chan's friends to also know about our marriage. Since the news about what Xenon did and also Maddie's crime, and everybody who were involved in this, it couldn't be covered anymore about the truth, about the reality, about the secret I kept for a long time, finally released to the public as the police held a press conference. My life flipped just like that.
The CCTV showed Allina and Maddie, it was admitted by Allina herself was her own doing to investigate Maddie. JJ didn't know that, so she was also mad at her daughter for making herself being one of the suspects. And the people who were part of it had been caught as well. All the suspects were cleared. The alive and dead soul— all the victims, they were now can be in peace.
And after spending a whole week in the hospital to recover, I went to Woodstone for a few days. Not for studying, but to say goodbye to SA formally and also Jaehyun— and give him back the necklace of course. During my recovery , my dad and sir Heizen came along to reveal that he put me there to protect me and to make the investigation easier. Felt like putting an imposter in the middle of the chaos. So it's not just Allina or even Minho, I was also an imposter and someone who needed to be protected at the same time.
My dad gave me permission to choose whatever I want or to follow my passion. He also allowed me to divorce Chan if things didn't work between us. I told him that I didn't want to divorce him. Instead I wanted to leave Woodstones and go to a small cooking school on the island that changed my life. I wanted to give my ability to the community.
"So this is really the last day?" She asked. Her face showed sadness and I swore I looked the same.
"Yeah, I will go tomorrow."
"Will you come back? At least to just check on us here?"
"Of course. After settling down, maybe I'll set the schedule to go home. You have my number right? So just call me."
After that, she left for class and now I would meet the second person. I left the student center and sat in the garden. It was afternoon, but it was so chilly and the wind was a bit strong. I tightened my jacket while waiting for him and—
"Not with him?"
He suddenly came from behind, covering me with a big jacket. I smiled, "Thanks. He's on the way here to pick me up."
After he confessed, I started to see him differently. Not in a romantic way but yep— I wasn't scared of him anymore. Minho was the first person in my thoughts to get along with after I finished everything. But here he was, sitting beside me with a warm smile. He's handsome, I believed he would get a better girl than me.
