Liverra's POV

Me right now was no different with a crazy girl who fought over to become a prom queen.

Oh, please don't judge us for what just happened. Hair down, lipstick smudged, light bruises because I tried hard to fight back. My dress was ripped, one of my earrings was missing, and I didn't even know where my heels were. Same with the boy in front of me. He grunted like a bull with messy hair. He missed his first shirt button and lost his tie somewhere. Compared to a failed prom queen or an angry bull, we look like a drunk couple kicked out of a party.

"You won't say anything about this, your highness Miss Lee?"

Chan pointed 'your highness Miss Lee' for a sarcastic reason like he used to do while looking at the pool in front of the garden chair we sat on. There were two bodyguards who had just dragged us here. They just locked the garden door and kept us from escaping. Our parents really wouldn't let us in as long as we agreed to this marriage.

After my dad's statement, Chan looked shocked, and then– yes, he was furious. He raged in front of us all, saying how much he was against this marriage. I would say he was rude to his parents and mine, but I could do the same if I was brave enough to go against my parents' will. It felt really bad to be forced into a marriage for the sake of business and with someone we hated.

It's just, did he forget in front of whom he was raging? As expected, it ended up with Mr. Bang being angry at him. And I couldn't believe my dad wasn't angry at all. He just smiled, okay ? He smiled like nothing happened then told Mr. Bang to do whatever he wanted as long as the business kept going. And of all the things my mom and dad did for business, I didn't expect this was the worst they would do. Felt like they sold this useless child. Indeed, there was nothing I could do but flex my parents' money. Yeah, maybe they're tired of taking care of me all this time. Everything made sense now. This was their way to throw me away.

What can I be proud of ? Not beautiful, not smart, not having any talent. That's how to describe 'me'. And Chan, he was the same either, being sold when he was having his best time as an university student with many achievements. He didn't deserve this wicked deal. And also, he couldn't leave his girlfriend, right?

"Why are you crying? You're the one who forced your parents into this, don't play the victim!" His hand banged on the table, pressuring me with all his accusations. I unconsciously sobbed, my body aches after struggling to escape from the bodyguards' grip, my dizziness since morning was getting worse, I hadn't had enough time to eat properly, and I felt so cold right now.

I didn't want to be like my past to lash out at the maids or Rui if they couldn't make me feel better. And with this incident, I didn't have any idea what to do because I didn't accept this marriage as well. I didn't know anything. But, what could I do besides cry and accept whatever my parents wanted?

"Chan, h-hear me out. I don't want this either."

"You think I believe you?"

I sighed, it's normal if he never believed me, considering how many times I lied just for his attention back then. "I- uh, I- didn't ask m-my dad for this m-marriage—"

I stopped talking when he suddenly took off his blazer and handed it to me, "Wear this, I'm tired of hearing you stutter like that."

"No, thank you." He thought I was talking like that because I was cold, which was true, but I was actually scared of him. And for the sake of determination I made, I wouldn't ask him anything again. I wouldn't accept his personal help. Everything we did is professional, whether in SA or 'this business'.
