Short Chapter - Seo Changbin's POV
D-3 Before The Trip

"Chief broke up with Mads?"

"Yes, I heard from her friends. They said that b*tch took Chief away from Mads without her knowing. And their relationship was okay at that time."

"Wow, poor Maddie. By the way, who's that b*tch?"

"I don't know, that's all they say. It's just, that girl was crazy enough to do that— OUCH!"

"Back to work!" Damn it, how could they gossip while others were working hard? I was still kind enough not to hit them with drum sticks.

Tomorrow, The Executives and selected SA members would leave first, based on the decision we made from the meeting. So today my team and I were packing all the big stuff into the van. What's quite troublesome was the sound system, but of course, it's not complete without the mandatory talent show, right?

Actually, what was much more troublesome was our Chief who looked so miserable. He came to monitor us, as well as his wife, but they didn't talk to each other. Liv even avoided him on purpose. While Liv and Allina were working, Chan stuck to me. And when Allina was about to approach Chan, Liv would pretend to check the stuff which I was actually sure was complete. What's most defining was his desperate face. Occasionally he looked at Liv with such a pitiful expression.

I wasn't going to ask, of course, because I had asked Seungmin earlier if he knew anything about them, and he replied: 'Yes, they had a fight and had been apart for some days. That fool was jealous when Jaehyun took Liv out and unfortunately he acted possessive of her. She was scared.' Well, no wonder. Knowing how much he loved her, he would lose control at any time. I wouldn't be surprised if he targeted Jaehyun even if he didn't have any idea what kind of relationship Liv had.

"All complete!" My member shouted while getting out of the van. We all let out a tired sigh.

"Lunch?" I asked them all, and everyone nodded except the-husband-and-wife. I elbowed his arm, "Chief?"

Chan flinched when I called him. He looked doubtful, his eyes glanced at Liv who was still pretending to be playing with her phone. Man, I wish I could lock them in a room and make up immediately.

"Uh—" He finally spoke. "Okay, I'll join—"

"I'm not sure." Liv cut him off and smiled. "I think I'll just go home."

"C'mon, Liv!" This time Allina took over. She put her arm around Liv's. "I haven't had a chance to talk to you much. And while it's just Changbin, Chan, and Changbin's members, at least you don't have to be shy."

Liv just smiled awkwardly. "But I'm not hungry—"

"You should eat something. I don't want you to get sick."

Chan's sudden words made us all fall silent, widening our eyes in shock. Looking away, he ruffled his hair with a red face even though I knew he was also feeling bad about this situation, also with Liv who kept looking down with red ears. They looked funny. It was just I realized my members were already whispering with each other and Allina was starting to smile a little.

"Is everything good between you both?" Finally, Allina realized this awkward situation, making Chan and Liv tense. It's normal because Allina didn't know about them at all. I thought she already knew about Chan's breakup with Maddie, considering that gossip has started to spread to my members. This wasn't good, even though there was no clear evidence of Chan and Liv's relationship to the public, it could be that Maddie was pretending to be a victim and cornering Liv. I needed to change this situation immediately.

"Yes, I agree, Chief!" I patted his shoulder roughly, then glared at him to make him aware. Then I looked at Liv, "All members must maintain their health, just like what we agreed at our meeting. It will be bad if a member gets sick."

I gave Liv a code, and she finally sighed. "Y-yes. Chief, sorry for my unprofessionalism."

"No need to be that serious, Liv. We do care about each other." I laughed, patting Chan's back again. This time he made an annoyed face at me. I gulped, "R-right, Chief?"

"Are you over with Mads?"

"No."

Allina rolled her eyes. "Everyone knows already."

While chewing, I focused on Chan after Allina brought up this topic. Don't worry, I've asked my members to use separate tables for the reason of 'The Executives and The Head private discussions.'

"She spreads it?" Chan put down his spoon lazily. He took a sip of water, occasionally glancing at Liv who didn't seem interested in this topic. Anyway, they sat next to each other after I immediately ran over and placed my butt first next to Allina so they didn't have any choice. I was so damn smart.

"Her friends. But ugh—" Allina acting like she was going to puke. "When they spread it, she acted wise by telling them that she knew not everyone would like her and started saying that she was ugly and so on. And as expected, people will side with her. The victim card is insane. I bet you're so done with her, right?"

Chan nodded. "She's annoying."

"But people tend to see from only one side." I added, greeted by a nod from Allina. "People believe what they believe. And we know how popular she is."

"That's what I'm scared of. It's starting to sound like someone's taken you, Chief. They blame that person."

Chan frowned in confusion at Allina's words. "Why don't they think that I'm the one who's cheating? Or did I leave her on purpose? Or did we break up because we just couldn't be together anymore for some personal reasons? Why the hell didn't they blame me as well?"

"Because they're subjective? Or double standard. So they just focus on blaming that person, the 'new girl'. But, is that right you're into someone?"

"No." Chan replied quickly.

"What do you think, Liv?" Allina suddenly asked Liv. "I know it's such a bad attitude for me to talk about our so-loved member but I don't care. If I say she's fake, then that's it."

"Uhm, maybe because I don't know her much. So I don't know what to say." Liv replied calmly.

Allina held her hand and smiled. "No worries, and no need to hate her, but just be careful, okay?"

Liv just nodded, but this talk seemed to make her gloomy. I saw her eating slower to the point she stopped. And when Allina wasn't paying attention, I realized Chan was about to hold Liv's hand, but she refused by taking her hand away and putting it on the table.

Well, this would be a trip that Chan didn't want to remember at all.  And I wished the crazy girl didn't do anything strange to ruin everything.
