Chan's POV

/Flashback/
"Liv??"
She flinched when I called her name, then looked at me with her red eyes and shaking hands like a caught thief. It was obvious that she didn't expect me to be here. And it's obvious that she looked like was crying.
I didn't understand what she's hiding in that outfit. If she hoped to stay out of the spotlight, nope, she just invited people to baseless assumptions. She was really stupid for this kind of tactic.
"Why are you here?"
I tried to approach her but my movements sent her running away like I was a ghost. A thief met a ghost, we didn't have any intention to surprise each other. And when I wanted to chase her, Enzo held me down. "Don't."
"Why ?"
"Let her have her own time."
For now, I didn't like the way he showed his chin at me, acting like she was into him. He didn't know who I was. "I was her ex— uhm— her boyfriend !"
"And ?"
"So you need to tell me what's wrong with her? I saw her enter the branch detective office in the town—"
"Wait, you saw her too?" This time Seungmin came towards us. "I saw her when I was passing through that office. You?"
"When I was with Maddie." I gulped, and Seungmin rolled his eyes.
Enzo checked on his waiting list before speaking to us. "I'm sorry, Chan, Seungmin. No matter what your relation to her, we cannot share anything regarding our client's case without her permission. Now you can go back and meet JJ."

It had been days since I met Liv at the office, and that I didn't see her even at Uni.
I did care about her. I really had to care about my 'future wife' who I never loved. Just imagine how bad it felt when you needed to text her, asking where she was when you were actually happy that she wasn't around. Who asked this? My parents. How did they know ? I didn't know either.
As expected, for days she didn't reply nor read my text but then Rui texted me that it was a tradition for the groom to not meet the bride, so I'd see her at the wedding right through the aisle with the best she would wear. But Rui thanked me for my care of Liv— which I finally understood that this was just an act my parents wanted to show my respect to Eric's daughter.
For days, I still didn't have any time to find a clue about why she was at JJ. And I didn't have any time to talk to Hyunjin about his relationship with her. Marriage was busier than I thought, so one thing I could do was suspecting, suspecting, and suspecting. In my version, Hyunjin probably took her there and had some plan with JJ, but that thing sent me overthinking and stressed too much, so then my friends told me to calm down– even Hyunjin did that too.
And as days passed like a flash, I was here in the make up room with a suit on. Seunghyun's team were busy going in and out of the room to prepare everything. He told me what I needed to do, where to sit, where to take Liv. For God sake I was overwhelmed in this situation. In a few minutes the wedding would start. I wouldn't be single anymore. I would be a man with a wife. I needed to prioritize my wife for the sake of business. I needed to work with a girl I wish to be gone forever, but now she would always be by my side.
I didn't know what I needed to do with SA, with my Uni, and Maddie. Especially Maddie. Not having a plan to arrange everything so she didn't know about us. I couldn't lose someone I had a crush on for long—
