Liverra's POV

"At 11, Greg will drop your lunch and medicines in the lobby. Don't move too much and call me if you feel even a little sick. Then if everything's fine you should be ready at 7. Put on the dress I prepared. Your parents will be waiting there."
I rolled my eyes at her babbling. "Rui, I'm just having a headache, not dying. You have mentioned that dress ten times this week, and there's no need to prepare lunch."
"Then what do you want to eat? That disgusting tuna fried rice again? Pay attention to your health– hey, don't eat that damn sauce!"
Ugh, she literally snatched the chili sauce from my hand. Now the boiled potatoes would taste so bland. This woman was like a walking CCTV in an assistant costume who always tracks everything I do. I didn't know who the spy she commanded to check on what I ate yesterday.
But, yes, she was indeed my personal assistant– more like a private police my parents hired as a 'real parent'. I didn't even expect to see my dad and mom today after months of business trips. This big house was so quiet, dark, and cold. And I didn't know what my parents would force me to do again for their company. Whatever they planned for tonight.
"I'm leaving."
"Liv, wait— you didn't eat anything?" Rui stared at my breakfast which I hadn't touched at all.
"I'm full"

And here I was getting back to this place for the second time. Today I didn't join the event with other new students for the uni-tour because yesterday The Rector, Sir Heizen, suddenly sent me an email saying that I had to attend an important meeting. I had my doubts, thinking that someone hacked the uni's email. But after that Rui confirmed the same thing. I thought this has something to do with the postponement of my studies for a year, of course, a normal thing considering I've been accepted to this place last year.
This grand wooden door made me so nervous. I didn't know if my knocking sound would be heard from inside. And if I knocked too hard, my hands would hurt. But out of my dilemma, someone came out and let me in. The boy smiled sweetly with freckles under his eyes. He looked handsome with silver hair and a denim jacket as his outfit today. And again, I felt familiar with him. This boy used to be a transfer student from Australia and became a new student at my old high school. I wasn't sure if I remember correctly.
"Hi, I'm Felix. Liverra, right?"
I nodded, "Just Liv."
Then he led me to a long table with chairs around it, so much like a royal dining table. He pulled a chair at the very end. "You can sit here for a while."
"Thank you."
He smiled, then entered another room and came back with a bunch of seniors who sat in the front row yesterday. They were members of the Student Association, and I was apparently going to attend a meeting with them? But— where was Sir Heizen? Or this was what he meant, to meet them? But for what? What did I do wrong on my very first day of my uni days?
And here I was freaking out as he finally was here. Chan of course would be here leading the squad. He was the last to show his face and then sat beside me. Oh hell no.
"You all can sit down and open your notes. We'll talk about our upcoming trip for new students."
He said out loud and looked at all the members except for me, even though I was right beside him. I didn't think that I would be sitting in an equal position with the Executives. None of them looked at me, who was of course a stranger and shouldn't be here. But what's wrong with this situation ? Did I enter the wrong room? Or I was actually dead and being a ghost so they couldn't see me? God, I wanted to get out. I was restless, and it would be better if I quickly moved to—
