Liverra's POV

It struck 4 pm and his car arrived at the drop off lobby to pick me up after a whole day of tiring workshop. Today a famous chef– a.k.a Minho's dad, came to the island to give a special class and I didn't want to miss it. It would be good to build my knowledge knowing his high credibility in culinary. It was so intense yet fun that I hadn't had lunch yet and barely took a rest.

He just arrived here after taking three days to go back to Uni for some papers. He must be tired, we both tired for our schedules so I told him to not pick me up, but he insisted. My new assistant here— that he hired to take care of me while he was gone— promised him to always report what happened to me, including my schedule today. So yeah, as expected, he went out of the car with such worries.

"You should eat something." He brought me to the car, put on my seatbelt and drove away. He gave me a snack bar out of his pocket. "Eat this."

"That's okay, I'll cook at home for us."

He shook his head, disagreeing. "We'll go to a restaurant. You're tired and I can see that. Also I want to talk a lot with you while we wait for the food."

Chan wasn't really okay with my decision to take small cooking courses in between my mom-at-home days, also with my 20 weeks pregnancy– as an excuse to prepare myself before the real college days started. This was also his third time leaving me for Uni and being away was actually a mixed feeling. We indeed always missed each other but he was always mad seeing me doing something. I needed to always calm him down, saying I was healthy but of course he wouldn't believe me that easily.

In his point of view, I was always that one girl he loved who punished herself. I was always that one girl who needed to pay for my sins. But no. I was just someone who realized that I had a talent. And rather than just using my parents money for supporting my life, it was better to make it on my own. It was my identity I seeked for such a long time.

As we arrived, we got out of the parking lot and he quickly covered my head as the rain suddenly started pouring. We walked inside and found a seat beside the window. I exhaled, enjoying the scent of the rain outside. I loved the warm cozy interior with autumn decorations in every corner of the place. Some big brownish leaves stuck to the window, showing a clear reflection of him leaving for orders.

He came back with a candle and put it on the table, then took a seat beside me to hold my hand. Kissing my knuckles, he stared at me, hypnotizing me with his gaze that weakened me in seconds. "Why are you so nervous, hm?"

I smiled, looking away to hide my– probably red cheeks. "You looked so handsome."

I didn't lie. Every woman could be as red as me seeing him wearing a brown leather jacket, black jeans, and showing his forehead with bangs pushed back. He giggled at my answer, then pulled me closer to him as a kiss perched on my cheek. "Mission accomplished."

"What?"

"To keep you away from that Lee."

I sighed. He must have thought that Minho was here with his dad. And as the jealousy grew stronger, he dressed up to get my attention. "I don't see him around. Just his dad. And even though he was here, he's just a friend. Our friend."

"Still."

Him pouting was really a cute thing. I quickly stole a peck, making him freeze. "Should I show you how much I only love you?"

My wild question turned his eyes lustful. My lips were the first thing catching his attention. I gulped as his face going closer to me–

"Here's your order, Sir."

We moved away without even our lips touched. I looked away to the sticky-leaves-window while he stuttered– but still trying to take the food from the waitress. As the waitress left, He cleared his throat. "Let's eat."

In front of me was a pumpkin squash warm soup, garlic baked chicken, sauteed baby cabbage, and rice. I was stunned at how he chose such a healthy and balanced menu to keep both of us in good nutrient intake. And the smell– damn, I quickly held my stomach as I remembered how long I hadn't eaten.

"I heard that sound." He said, taking a plate and putting all the food there for me. That was so embarrassing.

"I'm sorry. It was too hectic so I forgot to eat." I pouted as my way to show my guilt. But then, he took a spoonful and gave it to me.

"No need to be sorry. I'm just worried you'd get sick. Now tell me about your day."

I told him what dishes I cooked today, how many times I sneezed because of the strong pepper, what the chef told the students what to do, and also the way my friends caressed my stomach out of excitement. Then he told me how the papers were going, how SA, how his friends and also the people who took part of my life were doing.

Smiling to each other and sharing each other's day was more than enough to warm my heart. And this was what my little family should be.
