Chan's POV

"Good morning, Liv."

"Morning."

Oh man, I understood why people busy themselves when they felt nervous. Yesterday we didn't talk much because we were arranging this house with our stuff and cleaning up. Now having both of us being silent in such a long time was so— so f*cking awkward.

I sighed, hoping I wouldn't act weird because of today's agenda. This morning we agreed to have our first meeting as Chief and Vice, and at our new house as a married couple. Believe me, I didn't sleep much last night. Even though she was sleeping in her room, happiness filled me knowing that I was under the same roof as her. I was so excited, spending the night smiling like crazy while browsing some destinations and nice hotels for our honeymoon. Well— I knew we could do it later after everything was over.

And I started to understand how she used to feel. People said she was delusional, and now I was the one. I was too delusional to think that I could hug her from behind, kissing her while she made our breakfast. I understood that no one's perfect anyway. The Chief that they thought was perfect, was actually a delusional boy wishing his own ex to love him unconditionally. Probably I was worse than Liv, and that's fine.

"Chan?"

"Oh, sorry—" I shook my head, shooing away my imagination. She was now busy making coffee. Her papers and laptop were already on the table. This morning her hair was down, a bit wavy like a natural morning hair. She wore— I lowkey hoping she was in lingerie again— a pink pullover with short training pants. She also smelled like baby powder.

"Coffee?" She asked.

"Yeah. Thank you." Oh finally, the time had come to enjoy what my wife made for me—

"Here."

Just forget that. I needed my delulu pills right now.

What just happened was, Liv walked to the mini coffee maker, luckily it was in her area. I thought she would make it for me but instead moved it to my area. I was definitely out of my mind. My hands worked on the coffee with a painful smile while she sat on the dining table working with her laptop. And I realized she took the most far seat from the 'boundary line'. I sighed, took my coffee to the table and chose to sit closest to the line. It seemed like I hoped too much, but I couldn't give up, right? I should get my 'passport' quickly, or just have a main goal to make her step on my territory as much as she could and punish her for real.

"Liv, sit closer."

"But—"

"We can't always shout during the meeting."

This time, she was the one who sighed as if was afraid to go against my orders or probably didn't want to start any argument. She moved her laptop and belongings closer to me. Now we were sitting next to each other, right with the line between us. Before we started the meeting, I walked to my room to get a blanket and walked back to the table, leaving her with a confused face. I quickly wrapped her body, especially her exposed legs. "It's getting colder."

"Thanks." Her cheeks flushed slightly, and I couldn't hide my smile. "Is there something funny on my face?"

"No, nothing." I cleared my throat. "Let's start."

We'd finalize the rundown and the sessions. While we were putting it together, I kept going over the idea that she had brought up at the previous meeting, when I had crushed her pride with such a bad attitude. She was a little stunned, maybe because I suddenly agreed with her 'stupid idea'.
