Chan's POV
—
When I saw the face that I had been desperate to see, my heart melted from being frozen—stabbing all over my body as the memory of losing her hurted me. I melted when the girl I used to hate, who was now my wife, looked at me with sparkling eyes even though she looked tired. I ran towards her and cupped her cheeks, kissed her forehead, and hugged her as if we had been separated for a long time. I knew for sure Jisung, Zach, and Enzo were looking at us in disgust but this was how I felt. It was hard for me to hold back my feelings in front of the girl I love.
"Where's him?" I asked her in a rush.
Liv frowned in confusion when she saw my uneasy expression. "Jaehyun?"
I nodded, grunting as I checked all over her body to make sure not a single scratch painted on her skin. But immediately she moved my face back to hers. "He's going home, Chan. No need to be angry. He didn't do anything to me."
"He confessed, right? I saw that stupid bouquet in the front seat."
"You didn't throw it away, did you?"
"Not yet—"
"No, please!" She screamed, panicked when I mentioned the bouquet, resulting in my anger increasing, thinking she was doing something bad behind my back. I stood up, snorted and pushed my tongue to the inside of my cheek. Why should she care about it when I could give her so much more? Was she happy with the attention he gave her?
"Why are you so scared, huh?"
"Chan, calm down." Seungmin held my shoulder but I harshly threw it away. I heard the restless breaths behind me as they realized the situation heated up.
"That's not the point." She sighed. Her jaw began to stiffen. Her breathing became heavy. My chest was tight, unfortunately she didn't make the situation any better. This time, she was against me and chose to defend her handsome friend rather than me, her husband, who spent hours stressing over her. "There's a necklace he gave me there and I'm going to return it—"
"Give it back tomorrow."
"But I don't know if we will be in the same class tomorrow. I don't know his schedule either."
"No f*cking but." I chuckled sarcastically. "How can you not know his schedule anyway? You can call him and he will definitely be happy. Or you can entrust it to someone else. I don't care. Give it back tomorrow or I'll get rid of him for touching you."
"What? Are you crazy? At least I still respect his feelings by not just kicking him straight away. I was planning on giving it back in a few days then say no—"
"And make him have a hope on someone else's wife? Such a kind and considerate person you are, Liverra."
"Chan, he didn't know. And this was also our plan to get information from Jaehyun." This time Jisung tried to interfere in our affairs. He held my arm, I responded by turning around and was about to scream at him, but Seungmin and Enzo immediately held my body away. Several bodyguards who definitely knew what happened here started to arrive, but JJ gave the signal to them to stay still.
Things got worse after Liv's expression changed completely. She lowered her head, clenched her fists and shook vigorously. She walked over to JJ and stood behind her. JJ immediately grabbed Liv's hand, stroked it and moved back a little as if I was a monster. I hated seeing it. I was angry at her for being selfish and at myself for scaring her. She should be the one hiding behind my body, not hiding from me. But what could I do when I am really disappointed in her?
