Chapter 2

Ive been told that this fan fiction is kind of like a movie called 'Timer.' I just wanna let yous know im not trying to copyright, I didnt even really know about the movie till someone told me. Although I did read the synopsis and my story has the same idea but it will be different, if that makes sense

Calum's POV

My parents had theirs, Luke had his, Michael had his, Ashton had his and even Mali had hers, but I didnt have mine. Everyone around me had their timers, except me. I dont know why I hadnt got it yet, but I really wanted it. I felt so alone and alienated, because they would all talk about them and I was always the odd one out. I had bare wrists.

"Hey dad." I called out, walking out to him at the car. He rolled out from under the car and stood up.

"Yes Calum." He replied as he wiped the oil off his hands.

"Do you think ill ever get a timer? Do you think I even have a soulmate?" I panicked as dad placed his hands on my shoulders.

"Calum, Calum." He yelled, shaking my shoulders. "Calm down son."

I let out a shaky breath before nodding. "Its just, everyone has one dad. I just wanna know, am I ever gonna get mine?"

Dad let out a sign and nodded. "Everyone gets theirs at different times son. One of my friends is 30 and he still hasnt got his yet. Just because you dont have one now, doesnt mean you wont get one."

His words made me let out a sigh of relief. "Thanks dad." I smiled before he pulled me into a hug. "Everyone has a soulmate son, they just come at different times." I waved him off before leaving to head to Ashtons.

I remember when Ashtons soulmate timer had appeared, it wasnt to long ago actually. We were all at band practise and he felt a slight tingle on his wrists. We all stood there, excitement on out faces, as we watched his timer form on his wrist.

At that time, Ashton also had a girlfriend, Tayla. But when Ashtons timer appeared, Tayla's didnt turn on like his. Once they both found out that they werent meant for each other, they parted ways. Although, to this day they are still good friends.

Luke, however, had had his since he was born. Sometimes that can happen to people, they can be born with their timers. Jack, Lukes older brother, was also born with his timer. People born with them are said to find their soulmates earlier in life, because thats how Jack found his fiance Celeste. They have been together for around five years now.

Meanwhile Ben, Lukes other brother still hasnt had his timer turn on. But he knows that there is someone out there for him, as it has formed.

Michaels timer appeared while we were on a school camp. He was sitting on the toilet, playing a video game, when he looked over and noticed that it had finally came up. I remember hearing him scream and everyone running to see what had happened.

Michael explained that he was just playing a video game when he looked over and it was there. He was also the first boy in our year to have his show up.

Girls also get their timers earlier in life. Mali got hers when she was 11 and just recently it had turned on. Mum and dad were so happy for her, as was I. But at the same time, I just really was hoping it was me. Last time I saw Mali her timer said 4 years 10 days and 6 hours.

I walked up the driveway of the Irwins. Placing my fist on the door, I knocked three times.

"Hey Cal." Lauren, Ashtons younger sister smiled as she let me in. "Hey Lauren." I replied, before pulling her in for a hug.

"Ashtons downstairs with Michael and Luke." She mentioned before walking off to her room.

I headed downstairs, hearing the sound of yelling and loud drum beats. I push the door open to see Luke and Michael playing fighting on the floor, while Ashton was banging on his drums. As usual!

"Hey guys." I said, all the boys looking over at me.

"Calum." They all yelled, before running over to me, pulling me into a hug.

"Calum guess what." Luke exclamied, a huge smile on his face.

"What?" I replied.

"My timer turned on." Luke held out his wrist, the timer slowely ticking down. 3 years 6 days and 1 hours. (Changed things up a tiny bit)
