We brought Ghost home. But he was in bad shape. I hugged him close to my body. The journey home was long. I kept track of his vitals. "Don't leave me sir..." I whispered.

He was now in the hospital. He was in surgery. I paced up and down the waiting room. Gaz ran up and hugged me. "He's going to be okay. It's okay. It's going to be okay!" Gaz whispered in my ear.

It had been a few months since we brought Ghost home he had been in a coma. I stayed by his side until the nurses told me to leave.

It hurt me knowing that there was a chance he could die. His chance of surviving was slim.

I hugged Gaz once I got back to the living quarters. "I don't want to lose him!" I cried

Another few months. It was killing me. I stood outside his hospital room and hugged Gaz, crying into his shoulder. We had a bit of a scare, Ghost's heart had stopped.

Luckily the doctors had been able to bring him back. But now I was a crying mess. I clung to Gaz as if my life depends on it.

We both walked back into his room and I wiped my eyes. I held Ghost's hand. "Come on buddy you're strong enough to get through this." I whispered.

I was sitting next to Ghost's bed side. I did some doodling. I looked up to see his face. He had an oxygen mask on, he was pale.

There weren't any signs that he was going to wake up any time soon. I sighed and carried on drawing. "I'm not leaving your side yet sir." I whispered as I finished another drawing of him.

I gave a small smile. "I...I love you..." I whispered knowing he probably couldn't hear me.
