We slow down,
As the engines stall.
Our eyes catch sync,
Explode.
Time, shift.
We discover the entry,
To other planes.
Time, shift.
As we collide with the energy,
In other ways.
Stay with me,
As we cross the empty skies.
Come sail with me,
We play in dreams,
As we cross through space and time.
Just stay with me.

"Rosemary" - Deftones

"There you are." I had barely finished my food when I heard a familiar voice behind me. I turned on my stool to catch sight of Yunho making his way toward us, long legs making great strides as he passed through the kitchen.

"Ah, The Cardinal, correct?" I asked with a slight tilt of my head. He had changed from the black uniform I'd met him in, into a more casual outfit. A pair of dark brown trousers, which a loose fitting off-white tunic was half tucked into. The legs of his pants were tucked into a large pair of brown leather boots, and cuffed over to cover the tops of them.

"Correct," he slowed upon approaching, moving to stand near me. "But you may call me Yunho. Codenames and titles are for certain times and places, not the comfort of our home." He let out a huff, running a large hand through his dark red hair. I had already assumed he, too, would be handsome. I was beginning to think it was actually a requirement on this ship, at this point.

Though he looked fatigued, his face was still wildly captivating. A petite and narrow nose sat quite far above a pair of full, blush colored lips, which curved in beckoningly on either side before meeting in a strong cupid's bow. Though I'd seen his intense eyes before, their striking deep emerald still managed to pull me in.

"Is everything alright up there?" Seonghwa's gentle voice sounded from behind me, interrupting my inspection of The Cardinal's face. I turned again to face him while Yunho pulled out the stool to my left, letting himself settle in.

"Aye. They're all..." He paused for a moment, his gaze flickering over to me for a fraction of a second. "They're all taken care of. Jongho reeled in the hooks a bit ago. We're set to sail anytime now."

"Excellent! Let's get the hell out of here!" San cut in, clapping his hands together, causing me to jump slightly. Seonghwa sent him a quiet glare. "What?" San pouted, scrunching his nose toward The Raven. "You know I hate sitting in place for too long. It leaves us vulnerable."

"You're loud." Seonghwa stated flatly, shaking his head.

"You're boring." San retorted with a snicker.

"You're childish." The Raven huffed.

"You're a b--"

"Enough. The two of you." Yunho rolled his eyes, waving a large hand at the both of them. "You're going to scare our new friend. She probably wants to jump ship already."

"I don't." I spoke softly, perhaps more quietly than I had intended. The tenderness of it caused all three of them to look toward me. "I don't have anywhere else to go, so... I don't want to jump ship." I spoke up, meeting each one of their eyes. "And, thank you."

"For what?" Seonghwa asked, his head pitching forward a bit as he reached for my bowl, clearing the table for me.

"For saving me." I replied hesitantly. The room was quiet for a moment, save for the sound of Seonghwa turning on a small faucet over the sink.

"We couldn't just leave you there." San said with a loud scoff and a baffled expression.

"You could have." I said after a small pause, my gaze landing on The Starling. He furrowed his brows at me, crossing his arms tightly over his chest.
