Who Is She?

Oh, who is she?
A misty memory,
A haunting face,
Is she a lost embrace?

Am I in love with just a theme?
Or, is Ayesha just a dream?
A mystery,
Oh, who is she?

Oh, who is she?
A misty memory,
A haunting face,
Is she a lost embrace?

I call her name,
Across an endless plain.
She'll answer me,
Where ever she may be.

Oh, who is she? (Oh, who is she?)
A misty memory, (A misty memory,)
A haunting face, (A haunting face,)
Is she a lost embrace?

Somewhere across the sea of time,
A love immortal such as mine,
Will come to me,
Eternally.

Immortal she,
Return to me...

"Who Is She ?" - I Monster

-----------------------------------------------------------

You know something? The feeling of falling through an endless stygian abyss never really grows on you, no matter how many times you experience it. Though, to be fair, it really isn't any more pleasant or comforting when you begin to see things either. I rather think I'd prefer complete darkness over the ever winding hypnogogic imagery your mind conjures up to fill in the blank spaces - be it before sleeping, or having your consciousness summoned to somewhere far outside of where you presently exist... either way, it's equally uncomfortable.

The human brain is a fascinating thing, in the sense that it's always in a state of controlled hallucination, regardless of whether or not you realize it. Everything that makes up what we perceive as reality is merely what our brains have deciphered it to be, decoded in real time to offer you some sort of idea of what exists outside yourself. That extends to things that aren't really there either, like the shifting colors I was beginning to see dancing around me.

I wasn't sure if my eyes were open, or closed, or if I even had eyes in the way that I had understood them before being pulled into this strange place. This room, that wasn't a room at all, but I had no other words to describe the place I found myself hovering within.

Eventually, something began to form in front of me, leaving the rest of the 'room' I was in shrouded in a foggy darkness that I feared even Wooyoung would have shied away from. What appeared to be some sort of oblong opening began to take shape, which at first was quite small, and let only a hazy smoke filter through it, illuminated just barely brighter than the dark around it.

Gradually, the opening grew wider and taller, and what was once a blurry mess of foggy light started to clear away, morphing into something more understandable. Something tangible. Shapes and colors that my mind could understand. Piece by piece they integrated themselves together until the picture before me was clear as crystal. It was a person...

In the center of a large circle, which seemed to be carved into the floor, sat a figure with their legs folded neatly together, like a lotus. The circumference of the circle was surrounded by various crystals of varying colors, and at least a dozen white candles, all flickering playfully. I realized there were symbols running along the inside of the circle too.

Sigils and runes that distinctly reminded me of the strange shapes I'd seen present in Seonghwa's strange white barrier...

Their head was down, face covered by a cascade of impossibly long, tousled white-blonde hair that spilled around their shoulders and snaked along the floor. Their right palm was held up and splayed out, fingers cradling an open book whose pages seemed to turn on their own. Their left hand seemed to be clutching something tightly, though I couldn't make out what it was just yet, save for a small chain that seemed to spill out from their clenched fist.
