Oh my heart, it's a fish out of water.
Oh my heart, it's a fish on the rocks and it bakes in the bad sun.
Oh my heart, it's a rock in the guitar.
Oh my heart, it's a rocking great boulder and stuck in the gutter.

And I throw my heart back to the ocean,
But it don't go far, it comes back floating.
And I watch it wash up with the dead fish,
But it ain't quite dead it just is lifeless.

Oh my heart, it's a house in tornado.
Oh my heart, it's a house in the sky in they of tornado.
Oh my heart, it's a roof in El Niño.
Oh my heart, it's a roof made of straw in the jaw of El Niño.

And I pour my heart a new foundation,
But it don't set hard it just stays shaking.
And I scratch my name, I scratch my name in.
But it don't set hard, it gets mixed back in.

Burn, burn, burn.
Burn, burn, burn...

"O My Heart" - Mother Mother

---------------------------------------------------------

I watched from the seat I had taken on end of the black velvet couch Mingi and San had flipped back over during their tumbling tussle, as slowly but surely the room came back into some semblance of order. Papers were picked up and organized, furniture returned to it's rightful place, and tables righted, all in relative silence.

I felt bad for Mingi, Yunho, and Yeosang in particular. From what I could gather in the pandemonium, those three hadn't done anything to facilitate the violence, and yet The Captain had not given them the same luxury of sitting the clean up out as I'd gotten. Though, that being said, I didn't move to help them once he'd let me sit. I was fucking exhausted from everything that had already happened today.

While I sat, elbow resting on the arm of the couch, I took a moment to digest everything with my palm holding my tilted head. I'd woken up next to Seonghwa, nearly been pulled apart by some unseen force, gotten kissed by him, and then gone to brunch. After brunch, I'd been taken on an ill-fated tour of the deck, accused of being a Royal Navy spy, fried like calamari, and tackled out of the air by Mingi. And then there was that moment in the storage closest with Hongjoong, all of course before the battle royale I'd walked into. All of this madness, all in one day.

Today can't possibly get any wilder.

Eventually everything was in it's proper place again, save a few things that couldn't be immediately corrected. Mainly the bookcase that San had been thrown into, and an end table that had been smashed beneath someone before I'd gotten to the room.

One by one the pirates sat, Yunho thankfully taking the seat directly to my right. I didn't want any more arguments between San or Seonghwa today, especially about me. Awkwardly, Mingi took a seat on the loveseat across from me, sandwiched between San and Seonghwa like the brick wall he was.

Yeosang, Wooyoung, and Jongho all took individual chairs. Every single one of them looked absolutely exhausted. The room was silent for a while longer, until Hongjoong cleared his throat.

"Now then, I'm going to get straight to the point," he began, leaning back in his chair to rest his head against the back cushion. "I want to know what happened on the upper deck, firstly."He had barely finished his sentence when everyone started to speak at once, the room buzzing to life like an angry hornet's nest. The Captain held up his hand, his face twisting into a deep annoyance.
