It seems there's a darkness in things,
The moon, the sea, the early light.
And I abide by the darkness of things,
The moon, the sea, the early light. And I abide, I do abide,
Faith has kept our stomachs dry.
Now ride on this blind horse,
Carry you home.
Your clothes they are soiled,
Your eyes raw from weeping.
Now how can they wash their hands so clean?
After wooing you into a tomb of perfumed skin and infamy.I cleaned those streets looking for a piece of you,
A tooth or a matchbook, a wedding shoe.
But, it seems, there's a darkness in things.
The moon, the sea, the early light.
And I abide by the darkness of things,
The moon, the sea, the early light. And I abide, I do abide.
Faith has kept our stomachs dry.
Now ride on this blind horse,
Carry you home.
Your gold glove marauding,
You're lovesick from dreaming.
Now how can they wash their hands so clean?
After wooing you into a tomb of perfumed skin and infamy."The Darkness of Things" - Tasseomancy Ft. Timber Timbre

"Don't be afraid," Wooyoung's gentle voice murmured in my ear as everything around me was swallowed up by darkness. "It's going to feel like we're falling for a moment, but you're safe. I promise you. Just hold onto me, and don't let go."
True to his word, The Cormorant had been right in warning me that the descent into whatever shadowy abyss he'd pulled us into would feel like falling. For a stomach dropping minute, it honestly felt like I had jumped from a high ledge and could not find my footing on any ground. I was waiting for an impact and the pain that would surely follow, but that crushing feeling never came.
"What's going on?" I breathed in, my hold on Wooyoung tightening so that my fingers gripped at the fabric of his shirt, where my hands met the space between his shoulder blades. Wherever the hell my fingers were exactly, I was not sure. I couldn't see a fucking thing. All I could sense was his body, and an oddly familiar foral scent. "What's happening to me, Wooyoung-ah?"
"I'm taking you somewhere, obviously." The Cormorant's voice was low, but I could clearly hear a ghost of laughter haunting his words. I felt Wooyoung's hands slide across my back before he locked his wrists together around me. Was he bracing for something? "We're almost there. Just a bit longer. Hold on as tightly as you need to, Nightingale. This part sucks."
"Where are you taking uuuuuuhhhh--" I had nearly finished my sentence, but had to clamp my mouth shut and shove my head into the crook of Wooyoung's neck to keep from screaming.
It occurred to me then, that Wooyoung truly was an honest man. Because, no word of a lie had been uttered. That part, indeed, absolutely fucking sucked. I pressed my myself as close to The Cormorant as humanly possible without our atoms completely fusing together, and hummed in protest as a sickening swooping feeling shoved my stomach all the way into my brain. He'd told me I could hold on tightly, so hold on tightly I certainly did.
It didn't feel like falling anymore, rather it felt like being pulled past the event horizon of an all consuming black hole. A peculiar and awful feeling, as though my body was being stretched, compressed, pushed, pulled, and entirely discombobulated. Thankfully, the strange and uncomfortable sensations were over nearly as quickly as they'd started.
All at once, everything stopped and I felt as though instead of descending, I was suspended in an absolute and unrelenting darkness. I felt Wooyoung unlock his wrists and slide his hands up my arms to encircle his fingers around my own wrists, his elbows bending as he reached back to gently peel my arms away from him. Carefully, he guided my arms back to my sides and held them in place for a second before I could no longer feel his hands on me.

Fanfiction"Of course. And, why not? Why wouldn't the ship be attacked while I'm tied to the fucking mast." I scoffed, rolling my eyes. When it rains, it pours. Literally. I awoke in a storm, tied to the mast of a foreign ship. I had no memories. I had no name...
