Dream Sequence - Part One

I close my eyes,
Only for a moment, and the moment's gone.
All my dreams,
Pass before my eyes, a curiosity.

Dust in the wind,
All they are is dust in the wind.

Same old song,
Just a drop of water in and endless sea.
All we do,
Crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see.

Dust in the wind,
All we are is dust in the wind.

Now, don't hang on.
Nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky.
It slips away,
And all your money won't another minute buy.

Dust in the wind,
All we are is dust in the wind.

Dust in the wind,
Everything is dust in the wind...

"Jebal, stay with me. Don't leave me again, nae sarang." Mingi's fingers were woven into my hair, which sat near my chin in soft red curls, whining for the third time this morning. "You're always gone so long."

"I have to go, Mingki-pie." I cooed, reaching up to brush my fingers through his tightly cropped, bright pink hair. Tilting my head up to offer him a soft kiss on the lips, I rested my head on his shoulder just after. "You know how important this last phase of testing is. We have to get these last few kinks ironed out before we launch The Phoenix operation. We're so close, I know it."

"Please, just lay with me a little longer." He grumbled, his deep voice vibrating my chest where it pressed against his. We'd woken up about an hour ago, and still hadn't crawled out of bed. "Just a few more minutes, and then you can go off and save the world to your heart's content." Wrapping his long arms tighter around my waist, he pulled me in closer to cuddle up, grappling me with his leg as if to keep me in place. "I'll beg if I have to. Hands and knees."

"I'm sorry, baby. I have to go now or I'll be late, and you know how angry Centurion Bang gets when people are tardy," I groaned. Truly, I was incredibly comfortable, and Mingi gave off enough body heat to warm away any cold I might have been feeling. "I swore he was going to chew Optio Hwang a new asshole the last time he arrived late. I mean, he did have an iced americano in his hand, but that's beside the point."

"Aishhh, I really can't stand that guy," Mingi groaned, shaking his head as he peppered the crown of my head with kisses between each word. "Always ordering you to work late, always taking you away from me. I swear, the next time I see him, I'm going to--"

"Hush, you know I volunteer most of that time willingly." I pulled away from him, pushing myself backwards off of the bed. Running a hand through my short hair, I started undressing. "I already don't have enough time to shower, so if people tell me I stink today, I'm blaming you." I smiled down at him, pulling up a tight black pair of jeans.

"I like the way you smell, lil' stinka-butt." Mingi snorted, laying flat on his back to watch me dress, his hands lacing together to rest behind his head. "Maybe your stank will keep Big Chin away from you. If only I could teleport over there and keep an eye on him... I saw the way he smiled at you when I picked you up last week. "

"Yah! Be nice. Chan is a nice guy, he just takes our job seriously," I snorted, rolling my eyes at the rude nickname my always jealous boyfriend used on my boss. "We all do. This project is important to me, Mingi. If we can figure out a way to fix the dimensional capacitor, then maybe we can get that fucking door working and then we can..."

"Gale, please." I watched as he sat up in bed, leaning on his palm. For split second he looked different to me. It was certainly my Mingi, but it wasn't? I blinked rapidly, and the long orange and yellow hair shifted back to his usual pink.
