Rain // Closer

For so long, I have waited.
So long that I almost became,
Just a stoic statue, fit for nobody.
And, I don't wanna get in your way,
But I finally think I can say,
That the vicious cycle was over,
The moment you smiled at me.

And just like the rain,
You cast the dust into nothing,
And was out the salt from my hands.
So touch me again,
I feel my shadow dissolving.
Will you cleanse me with pleasure?

It's that chemical cut that I can get down with,
Up like the moon and out like the hounds.
A dangerous disposition, somehow,
Refracted in light, reflected in sound.
I'm coiled up like a venomous serpent,
Tangled in your trance, and I'm certain,
You have got your hooks it me.

I know, I know, the way that it goes,
You get what you give, you reap what you sow,
And I can see you in my fate.
And I know, I know, I am what I am,
The mouth of the wolf, the eyes of the lamb.
So darling, will you saturate?

And just like the rain,
You cast the dust into nothing,
And was out the salt from my hands.
So touch me again,
I feel my shadow dissolving.
Will you cleanse me with pleasure?

Nobody can say for certain,
If maybe it's all just a game,
But, when I open my eyes to the future,
I can hear you say my name...

So, rain down on me.
Oh, rain down on me.
Oh, rain down on me.
Oh, rain down on me,
Rain down on me.

Trigger warning: Would you believe there's smut...?
There's smut.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'll put in warning tags for it, don't worry.

The Cormorant and I sat in stillness for a long while, an intimate silence settling between us. No words were exchanged, no sounds filled the room except for our breathing. In a way, it reminded me of the vision we shared as Oh'nru and Citu. Though we were less visually different now, we still watched each other with fervent fascination. After a time, though, I had to break the silence.

"I'm sorry I left you without ever telling you how I felt," I murmured, letting my hands slide overtop his. I curled my fingers into the black cording wrapped around his hands, relishing in the nearly satiny feeling of it. I felt myself becoming overwhelmed again, the deluge of emotions coursing through my veins as new tears begged to spring free of me. "I was so scared that I'd fuck it up. I was terrified that I would lose you, and... and I did anyway."

"I was scared too, Bluebird," he cooed, his coal colored gaze settling on me with a fathomless empathy - something that had not been evident within his eyes before we'd recalled our tragic past. "Actually, if I'm being honest? I'm still scared. I'm terrified of you," Wooyoung laughed slightly, his brows furrowing inward. "Of us-- of whatever this is," he paused, his lips parting as he let out a small grunt of frustration.

I hadn't expected The Cormorant to lift his knees, so that his legs bent before him as he let his hands fall away from my face. I watched as those wrapped hands slid against the outside my thighs, running the length of them before his palms hooked against my calves, lifting my legs so that they rested above his comfortably.

Wooyoung reached for my hips, gripping them carefully as he slid me carefully across the floor toward him. I gasped softly for the motion. He had removed the remainder of the distance between us, so that I was as flush to him as I could be while facing him like this - legs and arms encompassed. Entangled, like the weave of fate itself. Enveloping each other, like two halves of a whole having finally reunited.
