The ascent back into the land of light was a quick one, though the anxiety brewing in my belly made mere moments feel like millennia. Knowing The Kingfisher was about to perceive me after the debauchery that had just ensued between me and Wooyoung made me feel a myriad of conflicting emotions - a dizzying amalgam of guilt, excitement, confusion, and panic. The prospect of seeing anyone in this state was a daunting one, but the notion was made all the more severe knowing it was Hongjoong.
The Cormorant and I emerged from the shadows within the confines of my washroom, reintegrating in the same way that we had left his dark enclave. When I could see again, I instinctually looked to Wooyoung, my head tilting back to take in his handsome fact. I found his coalish gaze set warmly on mine, a slight smirk set across his ovalesque lips, which creased his cheek adorably.
Carefully, Woo peeled himself away from me, unwrapping his arm from my waist. I watched as he set my pants aside before turning to reach for the metallic knob of my bathtub, turning the hot water on and setting the plug in place. Once the water was running, The Cormorant turned to me once more, clearing his throat softly.
"You should wash quickly, Starlight," he hummed lowly, leaning toward me as he reached for my right cheek, which he caught gently within his palm. Wooyoung leaned in quickly, pressing three firm kisses to my forehead, pulling back afterward to smile faintly down at me. "Got bwayo, al-assjyo?"
"Ne, johayo, Wooyoung-ah." I nodded quickly, offering the best smile I could muster for him. It was rather difficult to smile through the anxiety, but nevertheless, I persisted. I felt The Cormorant slide his hand away from my cheek, lifting it to ruffle my unkept hair lightly before he stepped backward away from me.
Pressing his back against the far wall of my washroom, Wooyoung sighed softly, resting his head against the wood so that it angled upward slightly. I watched his dark hair slide back away from his face as he gave me one last lingering look, those jet black orbs holding steady on me as his form began to darken again.
