We'll arrive somewhere on the horizon over there,
If you wanna get on a boat with me right now.
You, you need a pirate king,
No need to be cautious, just be my companion.
"Pirate King" - ATEEZ
-------------------------------------
Sitting atop a high backed, black velvet chair, adorned with gold trim and embellishments, I first laid my eyes on the one I can only assume was Kingfisher. My knees shuddered just a bit, threatening to buckle.
San mistook this as exhaustion, ushering me to sit on a nearby ottoman. But San was wrong. It wasn't the exhaustion knocking my knees together. It was the dark, piercing gaze of the blue haired man sat before me. His legs were crossed lazily, left foot swinging idly as he leaned forward to take a closer look at me. His arms were resting comfortably on the sides of the chair, as pale fingers kneaded the velvet there idly. He looked incredibly comfortable, and equally as terrifying. I couldn't help but shiver again, causing San to lay a reassuring hand on my shoulder.
It wasn't his features that sent a chill through my whole body. It was his intensity. Without saying a word, without lifting an eyebrow or parting his lips, he commanded attention. He was the very picture of unquestionable authority. Even as he offered me a wide smile, I felt the power rolling off of him in tsunami waves.
He too was incomprehensibly handsome, his pouty lips, his perfect teeth, his large dark eyes and sharp nose... everything about him was pleasing to look at. It felt dangerous to look at him, like he could swallow me hole faster than I could blink, and yet I couldn't tear my eyes away from him.
"I apologize that we're meeting under such unfortunate circumstances." He slowly uncrossed his legs, lifting himself to his feet.
As he made his way to me, I found myself comparing his approach to San's - but if San had approached like a curious cat, Kingfisher was approaching like a stalking tiger. The way his hips swayed, the subtle swagger in his step, the deep blue locks of curly hair that tumbled and fell around his pale face, all of it hypnotized me. His obsidian eyes never left mine as he glided across the floor to crouch in front of me.
"Be not afraid. The men who hurt you are no longer able to do so. I can assure you of that." His melodic voice only further mesmerized me. It was like a song. One that I vaguely felt like I could recall. "It isn't right to treat a lady in such a vile manner, especially one as lovely as you." He clicked his tongue softly, and shook his head as dark brows knit together slightly.
"My name is Hongjoong, and I am the captain of this ship. It is a pleasure to meet you, our nameless one." His smile was blinding, as he rocked back on his heels a bit.
How had he known I couldn't remember my name?
I didn't have much time to question it as he rested his palm gently on my knee, and tilted his head to the side, causing locks of deep phthalo blue to tumble carelessly across his dark eyes. "You are on The Blackbird now, which means you are under our protection."
I furrowed my brows slightly, lips parting to intake a soft breath, but he spoke again before I could speak. "You don't have to worry about anything, and you don't owe us anything. I just have one question for you."
I watched as he lifted his palm from my knee, outstretching his hand before me. I tilted my head in confusion, glancing down at his slender fingers, before looking back into his dreamy gaze. His eyes were wide and innocent then, childlike in wonder as the question left his lips.

Fanfiction"Of course. And, why not? Why wouldn't the ship be attacked while I'm tied to the fucking mast." I scoffed, rolling my eyes. When it rains, it pours. Literally. I awoke in a storm, tied to the mast of a foreign ship. I had no memories. I had no name...
