Sixty - Artemis

I walked around, hand in hand with Nate as we followed Emiliano, joining when he asked before we went to the food court for some mid-afternoon food. We were meant to be going home today, but I have a feeling we'll be staying another night - it'll be too late to drive when we're done.

"Thank you for bringing me out... I uh, I appreciate it" he smiled anxiously before he took a bite out of his burger. His eyes flickered to a loud group of people who just arrived - the party - and my heart sunk. I know kids need their own social groups, but i know it hurt for Emiliano to watch his twin enjoy it all whilst he'd been shut out.

"Hey, don't look at them. You're here with us" Nate encouraged when he noticed Emilianos upset gaze. I took a bite of the burger as I pulled out my phone

"So what are your plans for the future" I asked, Emi looked at his burger as he thought

"I don't know. I have four years until I finish school before college, but i dont want to go to college. I want to do something physical maybe? Just not sure what exactly... I'm good with my hands" he told us, trying to keep his gaze off of his friends

"Come to the farm for a week, I'll show ya' some of the work we do. Lotta manual labour and physical labour there so you'll either love it or hate it" Nate offered and Emil beamed

"Really?"

"Of course, after your summer vacation is over, winter is coming up - always happens faster than you expect it to, so I've gotta lotta stuff attend to. You'd be a great asset if you wanted to come during school vacation" I couldn't hold back my smile at their bonding. I love how good he is with my family

"I'll speak to my mamma's" he smiled as we ate, perking up "Mamma was talking to mamá about you two the other day" he piped up randomly

"Really? About what?" I asked, curious as I took a sip of water

"Marriage" he grinned knowing it would be an interesting topic, Nathan choked on his fries and I gagged on my water

"What was she saying" I asked curiously, taking small bites of my food

"She was saying she wondered how long he'd wait before he asked them for their blessing."

"Really? Hmm..." Nathan trailed off as he chomped on the fries

"Anyway. When can I see Calisto's babies?" He bounced, he'd definitely perked up - it was like a different kid had possessed him

"Not right now. Aly will probably want some time to recover before she has visitors for the babies, but I'm sure they'd love it if you offered to help them out with cleaning their flat and cooking them meals." I sighed and he nodded, getting his phone out and texting his older brother

"We better get you back home bud, it's getting late and we have to get home" Nate stood up, taking our rubbish to the bin before we headed back. I could see Emiliano watch the group from the Corner of his eye, causing me and Nate to share a look as the three of us headed back to the car
