Seventy Five - Nathaniel

"thanks momma" I smiled, hugging her as I opened the door to let her in. The babies were sleeping so I helped Art get in first, we had transformed the downstairs guest room into a bedroom for us and the babies so art didn't have to make it up the stairs after giving birth. Once I got her into the bedroom and she fell fast asleep, I went out to get the babies. I asked mom for help to get them in and she beamed.

"I'll get her the food and then come out to help you. Stand with them though" she told me and I thanked her, heading to the car where the two babies were still fast asleep. I smiled as I got closer, gently opening the door to prepare to remove them. Liula - with the green wristband - opened her eyes and looked at me. Her blank expression made me stifle a laugh. Jamie was giving me a mean stink-eye, and I wasn't sure why. But when I gave her a soft smile intended to disarm her, she started wailing.

"I just smiled at her!" I told my mom as she rushed out "she was giving me the stink eye and I smiled to make her stop, and she started screeching" she laughed at me as Jamie continued Wailing at the sight of me.

"It's alright, you were the same with me as a baby whenever you pooped yourself, Just pick her up and change her" she instructed, but when I moved to picked a screaming Jamie up Liula let out a little whimper

"Art ate the food and passed out. She needs a good sleep." mom told me as she went to pick up Liula. As soon as my mom got closer to her Liula started Wailing and sobbing. "Alright, pass me Jamie and come and take Liula." I did as she said and Liula settled down immediately when my momma took Jamie and walked off.

"Hey Lulu, why are you crying hm?" I asked, and she opened her wide eyes whilst I wiped her cheeks. I started rocking her in my arms and she settled off to sleep. I walked inside once i was sure she'd fallen asleep and headed into the bedroom. Art was dead asleep so I gently put Liula in the cot that was near the bed and assigned to her.

Mom came in once Jamie had settled down and put her in the cot labelled with Jamie's name. I unpacked the bag and got everything in its place. Liula started to fuss and cry, waking Art up. Fuck.

"Is she hungry?" She mumbled and I shrugged

"Maybe? It's been an hour...but the lady said they need to be fed every one or two..." I picked up Liula

"Pass her" she unclipped her bra with an exhausted sigh and took our daughter into her arms, Liula was definitely hungry - immediately latching on as I got the changing table ready, knowing Liula would be due a diaper change soon. "She started sobbing when my momma headed over and tried to pick her up, so I had to give Jamie to mom." I told her and she nodded

"Can you thank your mom for the food? It was delicious." I nodded, telling her that there was a load in the freezer that my mom had dropped off. Her ma rang my phone and i stepped out to answer the video call once Art had insisted i did.

"Hey Mrs G" i smiled at Ginevra as I wandered to the kitchen to grab myself something to eat and some drinks for art.

"Where are my grandbabies? How's my daughter?" She peered at me through the screen

"Art is feeding Liula, and the twins are settling in. Art is exhausted but she's doing great, momma bought over some homecooking for us, I think she's brought enough for the next month" I smiled

"That's good to hear. Thank your ma for taking care of our daughter for us. How was the hospital"

"Exhausting, I think it was a lot worse for her though. She was in so much pain, it was horrible." I expressed and she smiled, Eleni piped up

"I was the same each time. It doesn't get easier to watch them" she sympathised as I put the microwave on.

"That's great news" I groaned sarcastically as I took my food and headed back to the room

"Is mamma still on?" Artemis asked as she fed Jamie in her arms. Liula had gone back into her cot

"Yea. you want her?" I asked as I headed over just as Jamie dropped off to sleep. I picked her up to burp her as Artemis took the phone

"You tired little one?" I rocked her with my body as I walked around the room. When she burped, i put her down so I could change my shirt before I changed Liula's diaper. When I'd finished I heard a sniffing around my feet

"Hey pops, you come to say hi?" I asked my sheepdog as she looked up at me with a floppy tongue. She wagged her tail at the little baby in my arms whilst I put Liula down. Poppy sniffed at the side of the cot before visiting the other one. Dandelion was curled up next to my wife, looking around with emotive eyes and making sure Artemis was doing okay whilst she spoke to her parents.

Poppy sat by Liula's cot as she lifted a paw and sniffed again. I smiled before looking to art who was chatting with her ma, I took a seat in-between the cots and yawned as I continued to watch the two tiny humans that were sleeping peacefully.

Double update, then Fridays chapter is from the guys!! Not many left!
