"Mom! Mom! Mom! Mom!" I groaned as I was woken by my teenage daughter calling me from her bedroom. I was cozy in my bed with Nate flopped over me, i didn't want to wake. "MOOOOM!" Jamie yelled again, louder. I grumbled as I had to roll Nathan off me and get up. I put my robe on and headed out of our bedroom and up to Jamie's.
"Hi momma!" She beamed at me as I walked into her bedroom.
"Jamie, what's the issue that's got you shouting for me at this time in the morning?" I rubbed my eyes and I sighed. She laughed
"Mom, look!" My daughter presented a wooden item "I finally finished it, my god it took forever to get it right. dad was a big help. Do you think she'll like it?" She looked to me expectantly, and I had to hold back a yawn.
"Sorry Jamie, but can you tell me what it is?" I apologised, she shut the door before rolling her blue eyes at me - i had to take a deep breath, when Jamie got really excited about things she wasn't very good with controlling herself.
"It's a stand mom, gosh!" She then picked up her iPad and demonstrated. "For Liula for our birthday. She gets frustrated when her iPad or her phone lies flat because she can't always press what she needs. Do you think she'll like it? I engraved our initials into it" my heart melted at her sweetness and consideration.
"She'll love it, did you stay up all night?" Jamie nodded and I sighed, I thought she would have stayed up based on her appearance. Asking her to wrap it up before getting ready, their birthday was tomorrow and I was so glad it was gonna be a Saturday. I left Jamie to her own devices and went to wake my not-so-little Liula up.
"Lulu, hey, rise and shine" i smiled as I entered her room, only to find her grinning in her desk chair. She pulled me into a hug before trailing down the hallway to her sister's room, her iPad in hand as she knocked and waited for Jamie to answer.
"Morning my love" Nate came up behind me and tucked me into him as he kissed my neck. "You wake them up?" He asked as he looked at our daughter waiting for her twin to open the door
"They were both already awake. I was just heading to Archers room." I leaned into his comforting body before getting off him and heading to our son's room. Archer, our son, was fast asleep, which wasn't a suprise, so I sat on his bed and gently shook his arm.
"Arch, sweets. Come on, you gotta get to school today." He grumbled, not wanting to wake up at all. Same here. "You were asked to buddy the new student today, remember?" He shot up and out of bed
"Mom! I'm getting ready now" he signalled for me to leave and I laughed to myself before heading downstairs. Nate was already making breakfast for everyone when I got to the kitchen, so we waited for the girls to come down
"Have you got everything ready for tomorrow?" I asked Nathan. He was organising a few things for the girls eighteenth birthday as we'd split the responsibilities.
