"Why aren't you getting ready?" I asked walking back to my scattered closet.
"I am not going anywhere" She replied
"Why?" Avery asked "See eh Chika are you allergic to happiness because anytime happiness comes around you, you will start to behave one kind, one kind".
"I am not allergic to happiness. It's just that day before yesterday we were together and I saw how violent he got with his younger brother. I didn't want to be on the receiving end of it" She replied.
"Chi, Dele has anger issues but he will never hit a woman talk more of you. Dele might be impulsive but he changes for you. Siblings beat each other and he had his own reasons for beating Ayomide, it's so unfair that you judge him based on this" I said
"I am so foolish, I just said some things in the spur of the moment and I... I have to attend the party to apologise right" She said

I settled on an offshoulder blue floral mini bodycon dress. I just internally prayed Mum will have no issue with the dress. I packed my most decent swimsuit since guys will be there and I had no intention of being nude in public.
