Alex's POV

"Do we have any other class?" I asked as we walked out of class.

"Nope, it's time for lunch and after lunch is siesta till 7pm when we come out to eat then for night prep" Charles replied.

"What the fuck is night prep?"

"A prep that is in the night" Leo replied smiling stupidly.

"Wow real smart" I deadpanned looking at the moron.

"Night prep is when you read in the school block at night. It's compulsory" Charles replied.

"Wow so you must study?" I asked

"Actually no, most people use it to talk to their babes or do things and other stuffs but I do advise you to read since you no get babe..yet" he added

"Yo Carrie" Charles called for the girl who just walked of her class.

"Hi guys" She said falling into step with us.

"Hey" I said politely

"How were classes?" Charles asked

"Guy, this teachers just dey vex me. Everything waec this waec that, haba they should rest abeg" She rambled.

"Is the waec that hard?" I asked

"Well people fail it sha but I think it's overhyped" She replied

"Who Dele dey punish na" Charles asked as we got closer to the boy.

"You dey craze, kneel down and hands up" Dele yelled at two junior boys that quivered in fear.

"Nawa for you na, bros calm down" Charles tried telling him.

"Imagine this two brats wan see me finish abi, alaye if I slap you, you go close that eye" He yelled in anger.

"Guys be going, let me take care of this" Charles said to us and I nodded.

I and Carrie continued walking out of the building in silence until she broke it.

"This is so awkward" She laughed

"Yeah it is" I replied

"How has your stay here been?"

"Well, it's not good neither is it bad, it's okay I guess" I replied

"Hmm, I feel that with time you will like it here" She said smiling at me.

"Yeah" I replied staring her.

"Is it me or do you like staring at people?" She asked and I laughed.

"Says the girl who stares too" I replied and she hid her face in embarrassment.

"I guess we are even then" She said

"Sure" I replied "How is the night prep like?"

"Oh students go to their respective classes and read till 10pm. Prefects are sent to Junior classes sometimes to ensure they behave but overall prep is chill. You will see a lot a pairing. Couple goals and stuff" She explained

"Hmm makes sense" I replied

"How was New York like for you?" She asked

"Well New York was nice, you know the weather. Nigeria is so hot. I have friends and a girlfriend there, school was okay and overall it was good" I replied

"Oh girlfriend, like you two are still dating?" She asked

"Well yeah since I never actually broke up with her" I replied
