Alexa's POV

The rain was pouring down heavily and I am sure it could pull down the roof, the Inter House sports meeting had to be postponed. I was currently working on 2020 Commerce past questions because I had no use of the class in session.

"Hey" Oscar uttered pulling out the chair beside me

"Hey Oscar" I responded

"Uhm, how are you feeling?" He inquired

"I am good actually, thanks" I replied curtly

"Why are you being distant?" Oscar asked

"Oscar, I know you saved my life and I appreciate you for that but I can't give you what you are asking for, I don't want to be fool again okay" I retorted.

"Alexa, I fucked up okay and I am sorry. I really like you" Oscar stated.

"Hey Ally, you no dey go class again?" Declan called

"Oh, I will be with you soon" I replied and he left to wait outside.

"Declan wow. What's going on?" He demanded

"What do you mean, Declan is my friend and he cares for me so please respect that" I replied before leaving.

I knew that I still liked Oscar but I also wanted that chapter of my life closed.

"You are oddly quiet" Declan stated putting his hand over my shoulder "you good?"

"Yeah I am fine, just you know jumbled thoughts" I replied leaning into him.

Declan had been a strong support to me since, he came to see me most times when I was sick and I realised how sweet he was. He was more of the Teddy bear sort of person, very inquisitive. Declan was a cute guy with his brown hair and glasses and tall lanky self, he was definitely a catch and I wanted to see where this would lead me.

"You are my personal Theodore you know" I said craning my neck to look at him.

"Really, what a sly way to call me cute. Thanks anyways, I will say you are a Brittany yourself" He replied

"Smooth" I said and we laughed.

I felt at ease with Declan almost like he was my own person. He is the first person apart from others that I feel inclined to share more than necessary with.

"Are you gonna run for red house?" I asked

"Mm, probably. If coach allows me to train for the race instead of basket ball, sure" He replied

"I am gonna be your personal cheerleader, you know GO Theodore" I replied grinning as we go to the class door.

"Can't wait" He said "See you later, Ally".

"Later" I replied as he turned towards the arts class corridor.

"Hmm later" Nini said looping her hands through mine as we walked inside the class "Interesting, you now do hot nerdy basketball players, I like you".

"Don't be a creep, Nini. We are friends. Declan is literally the sweetest person on earth" I said laughing.

"And Oscar?" Nini asked as we sat down

"I don't know Nini, maybe I and Oscar are not meant to be" I replied.

"Hmm anyways, do you know if your brother has gone to see Carrie, I really want to hear from her?" Nin asked.
