Carrie's POV

I woke up today at home and I was wondering how I got there until mum entered inside.

"Amanda" She said rushing to hug me and tearing up instantly "I am so happy that you are awake, you scared me".

"Yeah me too" I replied

"What happened to you, baby please talk to me" Mum asked

"I...I" I contemplated on telling her the truth but decided against it "I had a panic attack and I tried to stop it but ended up hurting myself more" I lied

"Why were you alone? Are you hurting that bad, baby. Is it me?" She asked with unshed tears.

"NO mum, I am fine and okay. I am sorry for making you worried" I said "Don't cry please".

I felt bad for lying but I couldn't tell her anything. Mum could take it up the wrong way and Nathan will destroy everything.

Chika's POV

"I feel bad for Alex sha" I said

"Bro was standing on business plus he probably wants to see Carrie. He is low-key obsessed" Dele replied before smiling at me.

"You are beautiful".

"Stop nau. I am shy" I replied as my cheeks warmed. I couldn't believe that I was blind all this while.

"I am sorry for not reciprocating this earlier" I said

"I like the fact that we waited till now. It makes me realise how much you mean to me, Chi. I really like you so much" He replied and I smiled foolishly.

"Abeg carry this una love go one side" Hadirat said hissing as she and her group sat beside us.

"People are there oo" I said pointing to the seats.

"Do I look like I care? Carrie is such a dramatic bitch, now because of her Alex is on suspension" She huffed "My poor baby".

"You are delusional truly, like come off it fam, he doesn't rate you in any way, you are the dramatic bitch. Carrie was hurt and Alex doesn't regret the suspension so What's your issue?" Sharon asked.

Hadirat was about to reply but was cut off by the Management team taking the stage.

"Good day Students" The principal started "Well, we want to enforce the no violence policy in a more efficient way. We had to send one of you home on that basis and the victim is sadly maimed badly, he will be fine anyways. Try settling your differences amicably without fists and blood. Henceforth punishment for violence is expulsion with immediate effect. The second tests is starting soon and Ss3's your extra curricular classes also begin next week, endeavour to attend. "The Interschool competition is upcoming and the houses for the interhouse sports have been pasted on the billboard, prefects ensure order as they check their houses, make sure to read the venues and meet up with your respective house leaders" The VP said before handing the mic to Kamsy.

"Please everyone be orderly as you check the notice boards. Ss3 students stay back we have a meeting"

All the Ss3 students kept on sitting as everyone else exited the auditorium.

"Well, Good day guys" Kamsy said clearing his throat "We are still all solemn from what happened to Carrie of which we know not whom".
