"Told you that I could find it," Dream declared proudly when the pair had finally managed to reach the center of the maze where a gazebo was.

"I would apologize for ever doubting you but considering the number of times we got lost, I believe my worries were justified," George answered with a smirk.

For the first time since they had their moment in the maze, the blonde turned to face him with an annoyed look. George merely laughed at his expression before so slowly slipping his hand from the blonde's grip.

The second that they were no longer touching they felt a terrible ache in their chests, but both ignored it. They had enough for now... that was as far as they were willing to go for tonight.

George steps past Dream and enters the gazebo, relishing the peacefulness of the area. He closes his eyes as a breeze blows past, it brushes against his cheek and makes him smile. Then he hears a voice... a conversation that he has had before...

"Can I paint you?"

"Whatever for?" He asked.

"I want to remember this moment..."

"What is so special about now?"

A laugh then a smile...

"It is the first time you genuinely looked happy to see me..." came the reply.

The sound of a camera clicking breaks George away and he whirls around to find Dream with his found out.

"Did you just take a picture of me?" George asks incredulously.

"Um yes..." Dream responded sheepishly while rubbing the back of his neck.

"Why would you do that?" George asks, smiling slightly at how embarrassed the blonde was at being caught in the act.

"I had an impulse... I can delete it if you want," Dream says.

George lets out a huff of amusement before turning away, "I don't mind, just don't pervy things while looking at it."

"I wouldn't do that!" Dream argued, genuinely offended that the brunette would think so lowly of him.

The brunette would have continued to tease him more when they heard the squawk of a raven nearby. The mood immediately turned solemn. The pair didn't know when exactly they started seeing ravens as a bad omen, but they both agreed that it was time to head back. Besides... it was getting cold.

Dream and George walk back into the maze, retracing their steps to find the point where they started. Suddenly they both stop in their tracks when they see a hooded figure standing in their way. A chill ran down their spines, this person seemed dangerous.

Dream was about to call out to the stranger when George suddenly gripped the blonde's sleeve. Dream spared him a glance and noticed how terrified the brunette looked. The blonde turned his attention back to the intruder and saw why the brunette was so scared.

The hooded figure was holding a dagger that was expelling mythisma. How such a weapon came to be he didn't know, but it was clear as day that it was a dangerous weapon.

Mythisma was everywhere in the air, but when inhaled in small amounts it was harmless. Over-exposure to mythisma however, has resulted in people going mad or extremely violent... some have even died from the excruciating pain of having their lungs filled with it. It didn't happen often now, thanks to the sensors that had everyone evacuated in time.

Dream pulled George behind him, if either of them were to be cut by that thing it would take mere seconds for the symptoms to take effect. Dream was unarmed, but George had his powers. Yet his gut was telling him to avoid engaging with this figure at all. They needed to escape.
