They called him the Rental Car Killer, and he captured the public's imagination. Although elaborate, his modus operandi was fairly straightforward. He created a false persona using prosthetics and a fake ID. He then flew into a city and rented a car. From there he was off to tour the town, looking for his next victim. After a week, the Rental Car Killer would strike and return the vehicle the next day with the body in the trunk. At first, it seemed like an isolated incident, but RCK went on a spree that brought the rental industry to its knees.
