While the inside bustled with activity, the castle's exterior rested during the day. Its many spires and arches stood as immovable stone objects, just like the ferocious gargoyles perched above their windowsills. But the night was a whole other story. The castle's gothic facade remained the same, all except the bizarre stone creatures, who finally roared to life. Their concrete skin cracked before crumbling to dust as the monstrous beings burst forth, screeching to the moon. Their wings popped upwards towards the night sky, allowing the air to lift them up as they soared over the land they called home.
