"I'm cold," the woman said as her date got up from the couch.
"Don't worry," he replied. "I'll turn the thermostat up."
Except he wasn't. He didn't want her warm. He wanted to keep her chilly and uncomfortable. That way she'd be distracted, susceptible, and easy prey. That's how he liked them.
"Feeling better?" he asked a moment later.
"No," she said, shivering. "Freezing. My fingers feel like icicles."
He grinned from ear to ear. "Let me warm you up."
He made a move to get closer but was horrified when his fingers touched her skin and turned to ice.
