8/30/24 Drabble: Rising Seas

For years scientists had been warning about sea level rise, but the majority of Earth brushed it off. Until it came true. First the shoreline started creeping in. But as the year's past, eventually all land was covered in water. Humans escaped to skyscrapers and treetops. But even that wasn't enough. The water continued to rise inexplicably, climbing into the sky. Even after it engulfed all of the Earth's atmosphere in water, the rising sea levels spilled out into space, spreading across the solar system, the galaxy, the entire universe. The rising seas would conquer reality, becoming the entirety existence.
