I'm at war. My house has been invaded, the kitchen countertops my battlefield. My enemy is sneaky, tiny and swift. They attack in force that swarms an area, overwhelming in huge numbers. I, of course, speak of the Ant Army. But I'm not unprepared. I spray those suckers down, immobilizing them and drowning them in a mist of suds. A part of me knows I should clean the battlefield, to wipe away their insect corpses. But I don't. I leave their bodies there as a monument to the next wave, a reminder of their fallen brethren and their future fate.
