Nobody knew how Paula the Pool gained sentience. They just accepted it. Visitors to the hotel never believed that the pool had a mind of its own and decided who would swim in her and when. But all it took was one rowdy guest to not respect her rules and they were instantly ejected from her waters. The rules were simple. No drinks. No fighting. And absolutely, under no circumstances, no peeing. One time a disrespectful teen thought he could sneak a little pee in the corner. Paula turned on the jets and the boy was sent to the hospital.
